As the seasons change and our Livery closes for the winter, we want to give huge thanks to our Livery and Seasonal staff for all their amazing work this year. Without these amazing and committed staff members, very little of what happens at CWB would be possible, and certainly not with nearly as much passion, humor, and insight .

It was so awesome to play host so many of the Stakeholders , , , Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI) (and others) of Lake Union Park this past weekend in our Boat Hall as we all planned, coordinated, and imagined futures together for this place we all share. CWB is playing host to a very special boat until this Saturday. Come by the Boat Hall to visit Jane’s Friendship.

Jane’s Friendship is the eight-person racing shell that won Gold at the Olympic Games in LA in 1984—the first-ever Women’s Gold won by the USA, and powered by a crew that included UW rowers.

It will be rowed back to UW's campus from our docks by members of the present-day team and will eventually be displayed in the restored UW Shell House for all to enjoy.

The public is welcome to come and see the boat and Crew off at 10 AM on Saturday.

Huge shout out to a bunch of our Volunteers and our Volunteer Manager for their work at the 2026 Fishermen's Festival, running our Toy Boat Building program.

We had 573 toy boats built in just 7 hours. 30 volunteers made this possible throughout the day, many of whom were CWB volunteers supporting the festival. What an awesome day for our community!
