✨ Many people think of Goodwill as just a thrift store, but did you know we’re so much more? ✨

Goodwill Industries of Northeastern Pennsylvania is one of more than 150 Goodwill organizations across the United States and Canada. Each is an independent, community-based organization governed by a volunteer board of directors, with programs and services designed to meet local needs.

💙 Here in NEPA, that mission comes to life through people like Glen.

Through our Small Group Employment program, Glen works alongside a certified Job Coach, earning a competitive wage while developing valuable job skills. From pricing DVDs, his favorite task, to learning more about books, he brings enthusiasm and dedication to his work while building confidence and friendships.

Glen also participates in our Community Participation Supports program and enjoys volunteering at a local church food pantry to help pack essential items for neighbors in need.

At Goodwill Industries of NEPA, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to lead a fulfilling, independent life. Glen’s story is just one example of how our programs help people build skills, make connections, and contribute to their communities. 💙💚

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our Hanover Township location will not be accepting donations for the remainder of today, Tuesday, October 27.

Donations are still welcome at our other convenient locations! Find one near you at www.goodwillnepa.org/locations.

Thank you for your understanding! 💙

New technology. More opportunities. Greater independence.

We're sending a heartfelt THANK YOU to Peoples Security Bank & Trust, the Scranton Area Community Foundation, and the Margaret Briggs Foundation for their generous grant support!

Their funding helped Goodwill Industries of NEPA to purchase a SMART Board for our Community Participation Supports program, which serves individuals with disabilities or other barriers.

This interactive tool will help participants build digital literacy skills, follow picture-based schedules, and keep track of work, program activities, and community outings. It will also support health and safety training for participants and staff.

With accessible visual tools, participants can navigate their day with greater confidence and independence. Thank you to our funding partners for helping make these opportunities possible! 💙
