What a day. 💚⛳️

As we wrap up another Tee Up for Transparency, there are so many people who deserve a thank you.

To every one of our sponsors — thank you for believing in what we are doing and choosing to invest in our mission. Your support makes this event possible and helps us continue the work long after the last putt drops.

To every golfer who joined us on the course — thank you for spending your Sunday with us. Some of you are also sponsors. Some of you have played year after year. Some joined us for the first time. Every single one of you chose to show up and support something that means so much to us, and we don’t take that for granted.

To our volunteers — thank you for giving us your time, your energy, and quite literally your hands to make the day run. An event like this simply doesn’t happen without people willing to jump in wherever they’re needed.

And then there are our family and friends. ❤️

Yes, many of you are technically volunteers too — but that doesn’t quite cover it. You support the Foundation because you support us. You listen to the ideas months before anyone else hears them. You answer the texts. You help carry the boxes. You calm the nerves. You show up early, stay late, and somehow always seem to know when we need an extra set of hands — or just a little reassurance.

This tournament began because we wanted to do something meaningful in John’s name. To see so many people continue to show up for it, year after year, is something we will never take lightly.

⛳ Before we tee it up tomorrow, we need to say thank you.

Tee Up for Transparency simply would not happen without the families, businesses and organizations who chose to support it.

Some have been with us year after year. Some joined us for the first time this year. Every single one of them helped make tomorrow possible—and, more importantly, helped make the work that happens beyond the green possible. 💚

Today, we are honored to introduce Aaron Redis as the inaugural recipient of the John Malvizzi Memorial Scholarship. 💚

Aaron is a graduate student in the University of Scranton-Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling Program, and was selected from an outstanding pool of applicants for his commitment to mental health advocacy, service, and leadership.

When asked what he hoped we would highlight, Aaron shared:

“My work is born out of the desire to meet my clients where they are while honoring their own lived experience. I believe this desire is reflected in my scholarly character, commitment to social justice, counseling ethics, and advocacy, as well as my original contributions to the growing body of counseling research.”

Those words beautifully reflect the values this scholarship was created to honor.

Congratulations, Aaron! We are proud to support your journey and can’t wait to see the impact you’ll continue to make in the mental health field.

Jordan has been part of this event since the very beginning, participating in every tournament we’ve hosted. Last year, he took his support even further by joining the John Malvizzi Foundation Board of Directors.

As a volunteer-led organization, supporters like Jordan are the reason we’ve been able to grow from an idea into a foundation creating opportunities for people to talk openly about mental health.
