🐾 HOWie Doing, friends?! Let’s solve the mystery of ME! Remember, Mom picked me up to foster a few weeks ago from the amazing Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge and the rest is history! Now I'm a therapy pup in training ready to help spread joy and light throughout our community with my United Way of Lackawanna, Wayne & Pike family!

BIG NEWS! My Embark DNA & Age Tests officially went out in the mail TODAY! My friend, the mailman, picked them up right from the United Way office while I was hard at work!

We're going to find out what breed(s) make up this handsome fella AND how many trips around the sun I've made!

💌 Making connections, one letter at a time!

Our Pen Pal Program paired 110 fourth-grade students last school year for monthly letter exchanges that strengthened writing skills, built confidence, and encouraged meaningful connections. This program brought the joy of communication and the power of connection into the classroom! 💙

🐾 HOWie Doing?! 🐾

Hi, friends! It's ME, Howie! 🐶💙

Popping in with a little pup-date on this rainy day!

Mom and I had another dog training class this weekend (on my journey to becoming a therapy dog), and guess what?! We're learning THREE new things: DOWN, STAY, and COME! 🐾

Now, I have some thoughts about these...

🐾 COME: FIVE STARS! My absolute FAVORITE! Mom calls my name, and I get to run as fast as my little legs will carry me RIGHT TO HER?! AND I might get a treat?! Best. Game. EVER.

🐾 STAY: Apparently, this means I have to stay in one spot while Mom walks away. I'm actually getting pretty good at this one! Although, between you and me, I don't really understand why Mom would want to go anywhere without me. Seems unnecessary. 🤷‍♂️

🐾 DOWN: Wellllll...let's just say this one is still under construction. 🚧 Getting all the way down there is a BIG commitment! But Mom says we'll keep practicing, and I know we'll figure it out together.

Speaking of practicing, Mom says training doesn't stop when class ends! We work on our skills a little bit every day, even when we're just hanging out at home (or the United Way office)!

This weekend, we were practicing in our backyard when the sky decided to put on the most AMAZING sunset show!

And yes, you might notice my tongue making an appearance in one of the pictures. 👅🤣

For the record, my tongue is NOT enrolled in obedience class, and it has absolutely no plans to start following directions 😉

Anyway, that's what I've been up to!

Now I wanna know... HOWie doing?! 🐾
