Time Travel Tuesday:

Scranton Public Library is happy to announce that we received a Scranton Area Community Foundation grant in the fall of 2024 to scan the Abington Journal. We have completed and uploaded the newspaper from November 1961-December 1973. We are happy to announce that this collection is available digitally from anywhere in the world, and is fully searchable for quick and easy access. Our Teen Anime Club's exploration of classic Studio Ghibli films continues with "Princess Mononoke," a historical fantasy set in imperial Japan that places a young man in the middle of the conflict between the empire and a supernatural forest and the spirits that inhabit it. Registration is appreciated but not required! 🐺

Thank you so much to the Electric City Steel Drum Project for another wonderful and engaging performance! The kids had a blast and we were all transported to relax in the Carribean islands by the sensational steel drum music! What a great way to end the summer!
