We are thrilled to announce the official launch of the ASEC Alumni Association (AAA)! Together, our alumni are building a vibrant community that will strengthen connections, foster collaboration, and shape the future of our alumni network across Africa! 🌍

During our Alumnae Leaders and Staff Workshop in Zambia this January, alumni elected the inaugural leadership team of the AAA and formed regional leadership teams representing East, West, and South-Central Africa, laying the foundation for a strong and connected alumni network across the continent.

Congratulations to President Sr. Ann Kamene Musyoka, ASN (Kenya), Vice President Sr. Arether Mwila Ngoma, FMSA (Zambia), Treasurer Sr. Stella Nkechi Anyanwu, SSND (Nigeria), and all elected regional leaders!

This historic step strengthens collaboration among ASEC alumni and creates new opportunities to support one another, share expertise, and continue building impact in their communities across Africa.

ASEC was honored to participate in the Diocese of Scranton's 2026 Catholic Women's Conference at Marywood University!

With more than 400 women gathered around this year's theme, "Courageous Faith," the conference offered opportunities for prayer, reflection, and fellowship. Throughout the weekend, ASEC connected with attendees at our table in the marketplace, sharing information about our mission of educating Catholic sisters in Africa.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn more about ASEC and the impact of Catholic sisters serving communities across Africa. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of this inspiring event and can’t wait to be back next year!

As graduation season is celebrated across the globe, we join in congratulating the recent graduates of ASEC’s Higher Education for Sisters in Africa (HESA) program at the The Catholic University of Malawi.

Their achievement reflects dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to serving others. Through their education, these sisters are strengthening their capacity to lead and create lasting impact in their communities. As graduates, they join a growing network of sister leaders whose service, leadership, and ministries will touch countless lives.

Marywood University President Lisa A. Lori, J.D., recently joined fellow delegates of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU) for a special audience with Pope Leo XIV in Rome on June 3, 2026.

Pope Leo XIV spoke about the importance of helping students develop “a true passion for the truth” and highlighted the vital role Catholic education plays in today’s rapidly changing world.
