Back to school means our school-based programs are nearly back in full swing!✨

So much work goes into making these programs a success - from packing bags and prepping bins to cleaning our reusable bags, we couldn't do this work without our incredible volunteers. 💚

🎉 Big news! CHOP Out Hunger was proud to be recognized among 13 outstanding organizations honored at the Donald Guthrie Community Benefit Grant Program celebration this year.

This support helps us keep fighting food insecurity in our community. We're grateful to The Guthrie Clinic and the Donald Guthrie Foundation for standing with us in this work. 🍽️🫶

CHOP Out Hunger is excited to be a part of the Popeyes Foundation’s SERVING WITH LOVE® initiative!

Through the Food Love grant, we’ll continue to provide backpack bags and in-school pantries to kids throughout our community. These school-based programs ensure students have the resources to stay nourished both at school and at home. 🍽️

Last week, we had the privilege of hosting Rep. Bridget M Kosierowski and Office of the First Lady of Pennsylvania, Lori Shapiro at our Scranton branch.

Together we toured the facility, packed backpack bags, and spoke about how we're working to make sure no one in our community goes hungry. Your support, and theirs, helps us keep pantry shelves stocked and meals on the table for families who need it most. ❤️
