A generous community member in Gualan donated all of these baby items to help support the recovery of malnourished twins who were recently admitted to our Nutrition Center - a care facility that provides 24/7 to severely malnourished children.

While children receive critical lifesaving care, their mother's live on-site and participate in their care and receive training on nutrition and hygiene. This opportunity gives them the knowledge and skills they need to care for the families and build a stronger and healthier future.

We are so incredibly grateful to receive support from our community to help nurture these babies back to health!

International Children’s Day Celebration 🎉👧🏽👦🏽
Our Nutrition Center kids had an amazing time celebrating International Children’s Day (Oct 1) with their friends from the Music In Motion program and the little ones from Weekly Feed!

They enjoyed goodie bags, games, piñatas, candy, and plenty of laughter — all thanks to our incredible staff who always create joyful spaces for the kids. Everyone ended the day with cake and pop, making the celebration even sweeter.

A huge shoutout to the Municipalidad de Gualán for donating the cake, big bags of candy, piñatas, and pop for 200 children. Your generosity made this day unforgettable! 💙✨

Our Nutrition Center just admitted twins for treatment. Here’s our social worker, Kendy, holding these little ones who will need intensive care and significant resources in the days ahead.

We’re already seeing the community step up — families in Gualan have begun dropping off diapers, and we are so grateful for their support.

Fire Service International Program in Action - U.S. firefighters Jon Ibrahim, Mike Veseling, and Matt Goodbred joined Executive Director Karen Scheeringa‑Parra in Ecuador to deliver high‑impact emergency response training. Over the course of the trip, they trained three departments and 45 new firefighters—all eager and ready to learn.

Our Ecuadorian hosts have been incredible, and we’re grateful for their hospitality. We’re excited to continue building this partnership and expanding cross‑cultural training opportunities that strengthen emergency services.
