Rotarians volunteered on Monday at Community Help Network. We filled 536 weekend Buddy Bags with food for elementary and middle school food insecure children. All of the 600+ elementary students from 4 school districts receiving Buddy Bags are on the free lunch program at their individual school. Bags include 6 meals plus snacks. Approximately 200+ middle school students are also included in their program. These students receive Strack’s gift cards in the amount of $25 once a month.
The Schererville Rotary club presented them with a check for $4500. This donation was provided through a Rotary District grant and by The Rotary Club of Schererville.
Thank you Community Help Network staff and volunteers for all you do!!
