Schenectady County Announces Cooling Centers

With temperatures expected to reach the mid-to-upper 90s and heat index values between 95°F and 102°F from Thursday, June 11, through Friday, June 12, 2026, residents are encouraged to take precautions during the heat wave.

To help everyone stay safe and cool, Schenectady County has compiled a list of cooling centers available throughout the county.

Stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities during peak heat, check on vulnerable neighbors, and recognize the signs and symptoms of heat-related illness. ☀️💧
