Let’s keep the momentum going at West Lake Neighborhood Park this Friday, June 5th, as we continue our fight against invasive species!

Join us for a hands-on volunteer workday focused on removing invasive plant species and restoring our local landscape. Invasive plants crowd out native species, reduce biodiversity, and impact the health of our urban forest. With your help, we can make a real difference.

When: Friday, June 5th | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Where: West Lake Neighborhood Park

Don’t forget to bring your work gloves, sturdy closed-toe shoes, and a water bottle. We’ll provide the tools and guidance to help you identify and remove those creeping threats like privet and ivy.

We’ve got the shade... now we just need the tables!

The Savannah Tree Foundation is looking for large outdoor tables to help us bring more people together under the canopy. We're hunting for pieces made of durable wood or stainless steel that can handle the elements and plenty of community gatherings.

We have a slight budget to work with, so if you have a lead, a budget-friendly option, or a local vendor recommendation, we would love to hear from you!

Please email [email protected] or DM us with photos, dimensions, or details. Let’s make our outdoor space even more welcoming.

Turns out our native tree nursery is getting some glowing reviews from the local wildlife.

We recently set up a trail camera to keep an eye on the saplings, and it looks like we have some regular night-shift security guards moving in. These deer have been spotted making themselves right at home around our nursery. They seem pretty interested in the inventory, but we're keeping our fingers crossed that they're just admiring the views and not looking for an all-you-can-eat salad bar.

We came, we saw, we cleared!

Huge thanks to the Gulfstream crew for helping STF kick off this series yesterday at Westlake. Talana and Brigid led the charge, teaching us what to look for and helping us give Savannah's native canopy some breathing room.

Stay tuned for Episode 2! Want to join the squad next time? Keep an eye out for our next removal day.

The STF team just upgraded our kit with a brand-new water pump for our trailer. In the critical first few years of a tree's life, consistent watering is the difference between surviving and thriving.

We might look like a DIY fire department, but this equipment is a game-changer for our survival rates and our ability to reach more neighborhoods. Proud of this crew for the hard work!
