This is an organization that we have worked with for several years. These types of cases are happening every day on Long Island.

We would love to be able to provide a permanent home for many of these chickens but we need YOUR help!

Please consider donating either to Humane Long Island directly or to us. All funds received will go towards the care, placement and shelter of these chickens who have seen nothing but the worst of humanity. Let’s help them live out the rest of their lives comfortably.

UPDATE ON OUR UPDATE: Lucky Clucky will be staying with us. He’s a sweet boy and I’m sure he will do well with some new 🐔friends.

Also, my hand still hurts. Filing his spurs asap. 😂

UPDATE: Owner has been located and they will be reunited tomorrow! AND he is her only chicken as she saved him from being slaughtered…So he is going back to a loving home! I wish we had more cases like this.

Found this guy hanging out at a vacant house on my mail route (yes, I work as a full time mail carrier). Enlisted the help of another employee, climbed a pine tree and spurred myself but here he is, safe with a full crop.

Just a normal day in my life. 😂

New bird alert 🚨

As usual I’m a couple of weeks behind…

These beauties came from a hostile neighbor situation in Rhinbeck… An old farm in a rural area, carrying on as usual, and a new neighbor who doesn’t like morning crows. 🙄 Ironically we have about 60 roosters and these two rarely crow.

New bird alert 🚨

Yesterday we welcomed “Pepper Malloy Cheese” 😂 to our ever growing family of roosters.

Pepper was found dumped, rescued and transported to us by Patricia Amendolia.

Yet another victim of irresponsible and inhumane treatment by his owners.
