EXACTLY!
If we are honest about wanting to end animal suffering in America, then spay and neuter must become the primary variable—not an afterthought. Shelters are not failing because people don’t care; they are overwhelmed because prevention failed upstream. Every intake, every overcrowded kennel, every euthanasia decision traces back to one truth: too many animals are being born into a system that cannot absorb them. Adoption and rescue save lives one by one—but spay and neuter saves lives by the thousands.
Until we put prevention at the center of our culture, policy, and funding, we will keep asking shelters to manage impossible outcomes. This crisis doesn’t end in kennels. It ends at the source. Please spay and neuter EVERYTHING. ❤️🙌
