l food ($1 = $10) and 85 cents of every dollar goes directly for Food! In 2022, the Food Bank provided more than 22 million pounds of food to 400 member agencies in Orange, Ulster, Dutchess, Rockland, Sullivan, and Putnam counties. Today, the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley in conjunction with the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, serves more than 1,000 member agencies in 23 counties from the Canadian border to the border of Westchester County. Children are often hardest hit by poverty and hunger’s effects. Malnourished children can have lifelong complications of poor health, slower growth, neurological problems and learning deficiencies. Markertek–Tower CEO and President, Mark Braunstein and his charitable foundation, The Markertek Fund recognize this need. The Markertek Fund supports the Food Bank through the Markertek Open and with regular, ongoing contributions towards emergency food and shelter. Markertek recognizes the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley for making a difference and feeding the hungry for 26 years.
