82 years ago, on June 6, 1944, Allied forces launched the largest amphibious assault in military history during the D-Day.

Today, we honor the heroes of the Greatest Generation and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that future generations could live in freedom.

Past Commander Vince Brennan had the honor of installing the new slate of officers for the 2026-2027 year at Saugerties VFW Post 5034.

Congratulations to all the newly installed officers as they begin another year of service, leadership, and dedication to our veterans and community.

Our Life Member, Bert Van Demark, has been named Ulster County Veteran of the Month!

Comrade Van Demark proudly served with the 1/61st, 5th Infantry Division during his tour in Vietnam. He continues to dedicate himself to serving our veteran community with the same commitment and honor.
