Join Saratoga PLAN's Next Gen Committee for an evening out on the water with Kayak Shak and Capital Region PRISM as we remove water chestnuts from the Fish Creek outlet on Saratoga Lake. 🚣‍♀️

Water chestnut is an aquatic invasive plant that can form dense mats that harm aquatic ecosystems and limit water recreation.

🗓 When: Thursday, July 23rd, 5:00pm-7:30pm (Rain Date: July 24th)
📍Where: Kayak Shak, 251 County Route 67, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866

We’ll start with a brief training from PRISM on how to identify and remove water chestnut plants.

👨‍🌾🐑 Did you know that 94% of farms in Saratoga County are family-owned?

Get to know some of the people, animals, and working lands that make up Saratoga County's agricultural community at the Saratoga Farm Showcase on Saturday, June 20th!

This self-guided farm tour features fun-on-the-farm experiences at farms throughout Wilton, Moreau, Northumberland, and neighboring communities. Start your day at Canopy of Saratoga or King Brothers Dairy to pick up your event bracelet, printed guide and map, plus a canvas "bounty" tote bag.

📍 One featured stop is Woodland Meadow Farm, home to approximately 50 alpacas, along with pigs, chickens, peafowl, and rabbits. Meet the animals, explore the farm, and shop for alpaca yarn, socks, and other farm-made goods. Attendees receive 5% off purchases!

🌿This Friday!🔎 Celebrate the first season of Saratoga PLAN’s Junior Letterboxing Program with a family-friendly letterboxing adventure at Spring Run Trail on June 5th!

Choose your hike start time:
🕐 1 PM or 2 PM
📍 Spring Run Trail
👟 1.8-mile round trip
🌳 Paved & mostly flat — perfect for families!

Kids will receive special booklets filled with age-appropriate clues as they explore and discover along the trail. It’s a fun way to get outside and connect with nature!
