Since 1946, Easterseals Southwest Florida and the Happiness House has supported individuals with disabilities to live their best lives and be engaged in their communities. On day one, the people of our compassionate, caring nonprofit have offered help and hope to children and adults with disabilities, working to ensure all abilities of all ages have the opportunity to shine. Thank you to the Venice-Nokomis Rotary Club for their generous grant supporting children participating in Easterseals Southwest Florida’s Equine Assisted Learning programs at Easterseals Ranch!

Located in Nokomis, Easterseals Ranch provides life-changing hippotherapy services for children with disabilities, including those from the Venice community. Through the therapeutic movement of horses, children build strength, balance, confidence, and independence while achieving important developmental goals.

We are grateful for the Venice-Nokomis Rotary Club’s partnership and commitment to helping local children thrive.

At Easterseals Academy, we provide individualized education and support for students through age 22 with autism, developmental, physical, learning, and mild behavioral disabilities. Our compassionate team focuses on helping each student build confidence, independence, and the skills they need for a brighter future. 💛💙🧡

This annual tradition is a sweet reminder that imaginative play isn’t just fun. It builds connection, trust, and lasting bonds.

By creating and waiting to share her tea party, this child showed just how much she values her mother’s time and love and the confidence that it will always be there.

Pediatric Physical Therapy Openings Available This Summer! ☀️

Easterseals Southwest Florida is currently accepting infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children for fun, play-based physical therapy services designed to help build strength, balance, coordination, and confidence.

Does your child:
• Fall frequently?
• Struggle with balance or coordination?
• Have difficulty keeping up with peers or meeting motor milestones?

We support children of all developmental levels, including those with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, developmental delays, and more.

Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from St. Stephen’s Episcopal School to Easterseals and what an incredible visit it was.

Watching these high school students choose to spend their time giving back, connecting with both our “Bigs” and our “Littles,” was truly meaningful. They brought energy, kindness, and genuine connection to every interaction.

They could have spent their final week of school anywhere, but they chose to spend it with us. That choice speaks volumes about who they are and the kind of community we’re building together. 💛
