Ceres Community Project We create health for people, communities and the planet through love, healing food & empowering youth

Key facets of our approach include:
-Supporting individuals with serious illness with free or low-cost delivered organic meals, nutrition education and a community of caring.
-Involving young people as volunteer gardeners and chefs, giving them direct hands-on experience of the difference that fresh, healthy foods and community make, and of their own capacity to contribute.
-Educating the broade

r community about the connection between fresh, healthy food, strong social networks, healing and wellness.
-Connecting people of all ages and from all walks of life to one another and to their value as an integral part of the community. Ceres serves Sonoma and Marin counties from commercial kitchens and two gardens. We've also trained 11 communities across the country to replicate our model.

Saying goodbye is never easy, but we’re sending endless love and best wishes to Teen Leaders Teagan and Kaylin as they wrap up their final shift in the kitchen and head off to college! 🎓✨

For their last shift, they wanted to make gluten-free pancakes for teen circle. When our kitchen team reminded them that every dish should include some fruits or veggies, they came up with a brilliant loophole: shaping the pancakes into fruits and vegetables instead. You have to respect the creativity! 🥕🍓🥞

Teagan and Kaylin have brought so much joy, leadership, and hard work to our kitchen, and while we’ll miss them dearly, we know they are going to thrive in their next chapter.

Thank you, Teagan and Kaylin, for everything you’ve contributed to Ceres. We are so proud of you! 💚
