Vía Esperanza was founded by an unprecedented collaboration between Community Action Partnership of Sonoma County, Santa Rosa City Schools, and First 5 Sonoma County in southwest Santa Rosa. As CAP Sonoma’s family resource center, Vía Esperanza has offered year-round programs that prepare young children to succeed in school and help parents access crucial resources needed to support their children

’s success since the fall of 2013. Based on the proven effective “community school” model and bolstered by a focus on the Whole-Family/2-Generational Approach, Vía Esperanza promotes families’ health and academic success and from cradle to career, ensuring the future economic vitality of Sonoma County. Vía Esperanza provides opportunities for parents and children to succeed through:

• Financial Literacy Workshops
• Leadership Development
• Coaching & Case Management

Starting in June, Via Esperanza will have a training for parents, partners, aunts, and friends of breastfeeding mothers. This training integrates traditions, community connection and basic science to support mothers on their breastfeeding journey. The training is in Spanish. 🤱🏻🤱🏼🤱🏾

From April through June, Sonoma County Regional Parks will be offering swimming lessons for $5 for children ages 5 and up. You can see the available dates on the attached flyer. 🏊🛟🥽🌊
