Aurelia Foundation Day Program developing the individual potential of adults with diverse abilities

The Aurelia Foundation is a non-profit serving adults with disabilities through it's Creative Steps program. Creative Steps is an adult community integration program designed to provide a safe, caring, enriching environment where adults with disabilities can achieve their full potential as valued, contributing members of their community.

Happy National Disability Employment Awareness Month! This month we highlight the value and talent that people with disabilities bring to the workforce.

Alex is a proud team member at his local dance studio for over 10 years! 💃🕺
Once a week, Alex sweeps and dusts the space, helping to keep the studio clean and welcoming for every dancer who walks through the door.

He looks forward to work every week — and it shows. His dedication, consistency, and positive attitude are a vital part of what makes the studio shine. ✨

This National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we celebrate Alex and all individuals who work hard and whose contributions make our communities better, one meaningful job at a time. 💙

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for A Night in Tinseltown and helped make our annual fundraising gala so special. From our guests, donors, sponsors, and volunteers to everyone who contributed their time, talents, and support — we are incredibly grateful for you. ❤️

Because of your generosity, we can continue providing individualized support — creating opportunities for growth and inclusion, and empowering the adults we serve to live meaningful, fulfilling lives.

Events like this are about more than an evening of dinner, dancing, and celebration. They give us the opportunity to share our mission, spread awareness about Creative Steps, and bring more people into the work we are so passionate about.

Happy National Disability Employment Awareness Month! This month we highlight the value and talent that people with disabilities bring to the workforce.

Thomas is a fellow Creative Steps participant and works as a LAPD Associate in partnership with the Autism Society of Los Angeles! He is a passionate advocate and educator who works with the LAPD to build understanding and empathy for adults with developmental disabilities and teach officers and other LAPD personnel better ways to engage with the disability community.

Thomas often shares some of his own life experiences to better train officers on potential real-life scenarios and in the process is helping shape a safer, more inclusive community! 💙👏

This National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we’re proud to celebrate dedicated employees like Thomas, whose work reminds us that inclusion strengthens every community. 💙

Down Syndrome Awareness Month takes place throughout the month of October. This month is dedicated to advocating, promoting inclusion, and celebrating individuals with down syndrome.

At Creative Steps we are so proud to be an organization that supports adults with diverse abilities for a lifetime of growth, health, happiness, and achievement. Another fun week of movement for our South Bay group! We had Nikka from Sacred Spectrum Movement come and lead us through a wonderful qi gong session today! We are so grateful for Nikka and all she brings to our group sessions! Thank you Nikka. ❤️✨

Some adults from our South Bay Program had another wonderful chair yoga session with Tami from Tami's Yoga

We love working with Tami on new yoga flows, practicing our breathing, stretches, and ending with a relaxing calming sound bath by Ana-Paula! Thank you both for all you do! 💛
