A rural school in Kenya received electricity for the first time in 35 years through GO Local Hero Kazi and Elimu Fanaka, bringing light, learning, and joy to students!

Why do safe learning environments matter?

Because after dormitories were created in 2023 at Our Sisters' Opportunity in Rwanda, 137 women were able to go to school and earn an education in fashion.

What was once unattainable due to conditions in Rwanda, as well as the distance of the dorms from their homes, became a reality for so many girls and women!

A classroom isn't just four walls. It's where a child's future begins. 🌍✨

In March 2026, GO Campaign partnered with Linda Children Foundation to renovate classrooms, build a kitchen, and improve toilet facilities for orphaned and vulnerable children in Kifaru, Mwanga.

Progress is real: fresh paint, sturdy new walls, and a kitchen rising brick by brick. Once complete, these classrooms will welcome up to 45 children each, kids who once studied in unsafe, incomplete spaces. So far, 27 youth have been directly impacted, with 4 more community members benefiting too.

A country banned girls from school past grade six. One door is still open — and 270 girls are walking through it. 📚

In Afghanistan, primary school is the last door left for girls' education. Across 6 provinces, female teachers and mentors are keeping it open — teaching reading, writing, and math and English, alongside the emotional tools to process grief, stress, and uncertainty.

For these women, teaching isn't just a job. Under the de facto ban on female employment, it's one of the last lifelines they have.

The result? 270 girls learning, healing, and growing — proof that resilience can't be legislated away.

One student put it simply: "When I came to this class, I knew nothing, neither reading or writing." Now she reads, writes, does math, and is picking up English.

An educator, adventurer, and changemaker, Natalie founded Music For Every Child — and we're proud to support her project, "Music for Every Child," as it delivers free weekly music therapy sessions to marginalized children with special needs across Ontario schools, building emotional regulation, communication skills, and social development. 💛

A message of gratitude from our Local Hero Mayra Medina-Núñez of Refugee Children Center in Los Angeles:

"We are grateful to have received this funding from GO Campaign. These past couple of years have been extremely difficult for our children and families, as North Hills continues to be heavily targeted by ICE enforcement and parents' work hours have decreased. As it is, our children and families already experience increased food insecurity in the summer months when school is not in session. By providing these culturally relevant meals (since June 15, 2026), we hope to alleviate food insecurity and bring a bit of joy — because food does heal. We are grateful to GO Campaign for their partnership."
