Children's Creative Project brings young people and professional artists together!

The Children's Creative Project is proud to be the first to bring this romantic festival to the western hemisphere from our sister festival in Grazie di Curtatone, Italy. The festival benefits the Children's Creative Project, a nonprofit arts education program of the Santa Barbara County Education Office. The Project serves 50,000 children in more than 100 schools with visual and performing arts workshops and performances throughout Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.

National Arts in Education Week is coming up September 13–19, and now is the time to get ready to advocate for arts education in our schools and communities.

Friends Of Sacramento Arts is sharing this free advocacy webinar from Americans for the Arts, happening tomorrow, August 13, from 3:30–4:30 PM ET.

Every Student, Every Community: National Arts in Education Week Advocacy Webinar will bring together national and local experts to share practical tools for advocating for the arts at the school board and state levels.

You’ll learn about:
-Advocacy tools and resources
-Policies impacting arts education
-Ways to advocate in your own community
-Why arts education matters for creativity, collaboration, cognitive development, civic engagement, and preparing students for the future.

As students head back to school, let’s make sure the arts are part of the conversation.

One of our student volunteers put together this beautiful recap of our 40th I Madonnari Street Painting Festival, and we couldn’t think of a better way to look back on such a special weekend.

Thank you to the artists, sponsors, volunteers, community partners, and thousands of attendees who made this year’s festival possible. Every chalk drawing, volunteer shift, sponsorship, and visit helped bring this event to life.

As Children’s Creative Project’s only fundraiser, I Madonnari helps provide arts education opportunities for students across Santa Barbara County.
