Children's Creative Project

Children's Creative Project Children's Creative Project brings young people and professional artists together!

The Children's Creative Project is proud to be the first to bring this romantic festival to the western hemisphere from our sister festival in Grazie di Curtatone, Italy. The festival benefits the Children's Creative Project, a nonprofit arts education program of the Santa Barbara County Education Office. The Project serves 50,000 children in more than 100 schools with visual and performing arts workshops and performances throughout Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.

One of our student volunteers put together this beautiful recap of our 40th I Madonnari Street Painting Festival, and we couldn’t think of a better way to look back on such a special weekend.

Thank you to the artists, sponsors, volunteers, community partners, and thousands of attendees who made this year’s festival possible. Every chalk drawing, volunteer shift, sponsorship, and visit helped bring this event to life.

As Children’s Creative Project’s only fundraiser, I Madonnari helps provide arts education opportunities for students across Santa Barbara County.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for celebrating 40 years of creativity, community, and connection with us. 💛

CCP Supports Young Artists in the Santa Ynez Valley! 🌟
Thanks to fundraisers like the I Madonnari Street Painting Festival, CCP proudly awards an annual art scholarship to help young creatives thrive.
This year’s recipient, Caralyn Barber, explores identity as both façade and battlefield. From a Gatsby cover redesign that reveals the tension beneath polished ambition, to a Dungeons & Dragons character embodying inner conflict and growth, her work asks: who are we really, beneath the performance?

💛 Help us keep these opportunities alive.
