History & Vision: Established in 1987 as a grassroots, resident-driven, community building organization; MPNA is working to improve the quality of life for all residents in the Madison Park Neighborhood and surrounding South-East Santa Ana. We are a group of residents working to improve the collective well-being of our neighborhood Madison Park and surrounding neighborhoods in the City of Santa An

We at GREEN-MPNA do this in collaboration with local schools, the Santa Ana Unified School District, the City of Santa Ana, University of California, Irvine (UCI) and various foundations, private donors, and other non-profits. Our organization seeks to ensure that our communities will continue to thrive through enriching Youth Educational Opportunities, Health Equity Programming, Safe and Clean Environments, and Community Empowerment.

May brought chances to celebrate our programs and our team. Congratulations to graduating seniors and mentors of the Dr. Zaldivar ALMA Science Academy
and Mentorship Pipeline program. We also celebrated the accomplishment of our Environmental Career and Fellowship intern, Emely Flores, as she completed her time working with GREEN-MPNA.

El mes de mayo nos brindó la oportunidad de celebrar nuestros programas y a nuestro equipo. Felicitaciones a los estudiantes de la secundaria y los mentores de colegio de la Academia Científica ALMA del Dr. Zaldívar, que se graduan. El Festival Oficial de la Ciencia de Los Ángeles vuelve el 26 de abril, y este año sube el nivel. Acompáñanos en Exposition Park para la mayor celebración de la ciencia, la creatividad y la invención del sur de California, con experiencias totalmente nuevas como juegos de rol en vivo, retos con el cubo de Rubik y mini lowriders a control remoto recorriendo el bulevar, además de actividades científicas prácticas, espectáculos en vivo, food trucks y mucho más. La entrada es GRATIS y todas las edades son bienvenidas. El evento se llevará a cabo de 9:00 a. m. a 5:00 p. m. Visita CityofStem.org para obtener más información.
