New California education laws are now in effect after giving schools time to prepare.

Key changes include:
📵 Phone-Free Schools Act (AB 3216): Schools must adopt policies limiting or prohibiting student smartphone use on campus, with local flexibility for implementation.

🚻 All-Gender Restrooms (SB 760): K–12 schools must provide at least one all-gender restroom for student use.

🆘 Crisis Resources on Student IDs (AB 727): New student ID cards for grades 7–12 must include The Trevor Project’s LGBTQ+ su***de hotline and the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.
