15ForLife Foundation Open dialogue around depression and mental illness! Team store

Robert Kavovit was an All-American father, husband, son, brother, uncle, friend, neighbor, coach, and lacrosse player. He was all about family, all the time! He succumbed to depression in March 2021. Rob wore #15 because it represented "Family," his family, the 1 girl and 5 boys that are the Kavovits. In Rob's honor his family will carry the torch of the 15 For Life Foundation to shed the shame an

d embarrassment around depression and mental wellness. By opening dialogue in a fresh and honest way, 15 For Life's mission is to better equip people of all ages to understand and recognize depression and mental illness potentially affecting themselves, family and/or friends. We believe that with a better understanding of genetic susceptibilities people can be less prone to the illnesses inside.

RK #15 accomplished his dream… and then some.

🏆 1995 Syracuse Men’s Lacrosse National Champions

Kavo was unstoppable during that championship run, finishing the NCAA Tournament with 8 goals and 10 assists for 18 points over three games.

And when the lights were brightest, he delivered — 7 goals and 7 assists in the Final Four alone:

🥍 3G / 4A vs. Virginia
🥍 4G / 3A vs. Maryland in the National Championship
🥍 Plus 1G / 3A vs. Princeton in the quarterfinals

A dream realized. A National Champion. And a legacy that lives on.

A huge congratulations to the Harney siblings, who BOTH earned Camper of the Week during their sleepaway week at X10 Lacrosse Camp New England in Kent, CT!

Camp is about so much more than lacrosse. It’s about independence, confidence, teamwork, making new friendships, stepping outside your comfort zone, and supporting the people around you — all things that connect so closely to the message of 15 For Life.

And seeing Rowan proudly wearing his 15 For Life shirt makes this photo even more special. 💙🧡 Every time someone wears 15 For Life, they help carry our message a little farther: mental health matters, looking out for one another matters, and no one should ever be afraid to ask for help.

We love seeing the next generation of athletes helping spread that message both on and off the field.

Congratulations to the Harney siblings on an incredible week! 🥍

From Newtown to Norway. 🇳🇴⛳️💙🧡

The 15 For Life mission continues to travel the world.

The Ruddy family—Tricia, Ryan, Kyle, and Sara—brought our message all the way to the breathtaking Lofoten Links in Norway, proudly teeing it up with their 15 For Life golf balls.

Ryan and Kyle, both proud 15 For Life Ambassador Award recipients, continue to lead by example, reminding us that no matter where life takes you, Mental Matters.

Thank you, Ruddy family, for representing our mission on one of the world's most spectacular golf courses and helping spread the conversation across the globe.

Together, we're proving that kindness, connection, and mental health have no borders. 💙🧡

Mental Matters starts with showing up. 💙🧡

One bag. One conversation. One young person reminded that they matter.

This week, our friend Alexander is representing FCNE and the USA at the Gothia Cup—the world's largest youth soccer tournament, bringing together 55,000+ participants and spectators from more than 75 countries.

Every time a young athlete carries the 15 For Life message, they're helping normalize conversations about mental health and reminding others that asking for help is a sign of strength—not weakness.

Our mission is simple: reach kids early, build resilience, and create a world where no one feels like they have to struggle alone.

Because every season is the right season to talk about mental health.

Mental Matters. Always. 💙🧡

It's never too early to learn the importance of mental health. 15 For Life will help start those conversations and you can too!

Mental Matters isn't just our message—it's our mission. 💙🧡

On Wednesday, July 8, the Jeff Kavovit from the 15 For Life Foundation and Sofia Boucher had the privilege of speaking with the boys and girls at Predators Lacrosse Camp at FDR State Park in Yorktown about something that matters far beyond the game—mental health.

Through our Mental Matters mission, we're working to break the stigma by encouraging young athletes to speak openly, support one another, and understand that asking for help is a sign of strength. It's never too early to start these conversations, and there is no "off-season" when it comes to mental health.

A special thank you to Mike Solazzo of Predators Lacrosse Camp and a longtime friend of the Kavovit family, for making this opportunity possible. Mike's commitment to developing not only better athletes but better people reflects exactly what the Mental Matters mission is all about.

Together, we're building a future where every athlete knows they are valued—not just for their performance, but for who they are. Every conversation has the power to make a difference.

Mental Matters. Every athlete matters. Every conversation matters. Every life matters. 💙🧡
