Newtown Community Center The Newtown Community Center is a welcoming hub where people of all ages come together to learn, play, connect, and grow.

Located in the heart of Newtown, our state-of-the-art facility offers something for everyone: indoor pools, multipurpose and banquet rooms, art and wellness programs, youth and senior activities, and year-round community events. Guided by our mission to enhance our community by promoting social interaction, health and wellness, creative opportunities, and personal growth, we strive to be a place where neighbors gather and form lasting memories. To ensure that cost is never a barrier, the Friends of the Newtown Community Center, Inc. (EIN 83-3876134) was established as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. The Friends help fund scholarships, programs, facility enhancements, and special events. The financial support allows more residents to access memberships, programs, classes, and events at the Center. Through fundraising efforts, community partnerships, and generous donations, the Friends help make the Community Center a true home for everyone in Newtown.

🏀🎉 What a special day for our community!

Yesterday, we officially cut the ribbon on our brand-new outdoor basketball court at the Newtown Community Center! It was wonderful celebrating this exciting addition with community members, local leaders, supporters, and the children who will enjoy this court for years to come.

These courts are more than just a place to play; they are a place to build friendships, stay active, make memories, and strengthen our community. We can't wait to see campers, families, neighbors, and friends enjoying this space all summer long and beyond.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this project a reality, especially Mr. Hertberg for his incredible generosity and commitment to the Newtown community. 💙

➡️ Swipe through to view yesterday's celebration, and don't miss the last slide for our court guidelines. By following these simple rules, we can all help keep this space safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone.

See you on the court! 🏀
