Look who’s feeling all chipper!!! Dusty beat parvo and is being a little pup again!!! He’s a real talker and loves being with his people. Keep following Dusty‘s progress as he will soon be available for adoption. We are hoping to find him a wonderful home, the one he deserves!!!

Come meet this sweet girl-Haizly!!!

💔 HOW IS HAIZLY STILL WAITING? 💔

We truly do not understand how this sweet girl is still sitting in a shelter kennel.

Haizly has been shared. Then shared again. The shelter has shared her. Volunteers have shared her. We have shared her multiple times. And yet somehow, this beautiful girl is STILL waiting for someone to choose her.

Haizly has already survived more than any dog ever should.

She came into the shelter as a stray, scared and uncertain. Staff later discovered that she had been shot with a .22 rifle, with the bullet lodged in her jaw. Thankfully, she received the medical care she needed and is healing both physically and emotionally. But what Haizly needs now can't be provided in a shelter kennel.

She needs a home.

Haizly is estimated to be around 4-5 years old and has so much to offer:

🐾 Sweet, calm, and gentle
🐾 House trained
🐾 Rides well in the car
🐾 Walks nicely on a leash
🐾 Dog friendly with proper introductions
🐾 Knows basic commands
🐾 Loves treats, affection, and occasional zoomies

She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she trusts you, she absolutely blossoms. The people who know her best describe her as loving, affectionate, and deserving of a family who will cherish and protect her for the rest of her life.

Please don't let Haizly spend another day being overlooked.

UPDATE!!! Dusty is still with us and finally started eating as of last night!!! and also the diarrhea and vomiting has stopped, and as long as everything remains as it is, he will be able to go home with his Foster tomorrow. We are so thrilled because it was seriously touching go and there were moments. We didn’t know what was best for him, but we stuck it out with him. It looks like he is on the road to recovery!!! thank you to everyone who made donations and prayed for this little guy!!!

We went to Woodland West last night to see Dusty, who is being treated for parvo. STAR took them in from the Shelter to Foster and we weren’t able to get them into the vet Friday night, but we did get them some medication‘s and the antibody injection. But sadly, the little girl didn’t make it through the night. So we did get Dusty admitted to the vet hospital on Saturday and they weren’t sure he was going to make it through the night but he did and he still here with us as of Monday. They said he’s a real fighter he’s still not feeling very well, but he is eating a little and drinking a little so we’re hoping he’s gonna make it. He did have to have a plasma transfusion Saturday evening. We’re waiting for the update right now as a new vet has been assigned his care. We are so excited to be part of the Founders Day Festival which will be held this Saturday, June 6 at the Triangle. It will be too warm for the pets to be out all day but stop by and see us. We would love to talk with you about STAR and how you could help!
