Church That Matters Church That Matters meets at our facility at 3 W. 41st St. in Sand Springs, OK at 9:00 & 10:45 am on Sunday mornings. Come join the revolution!

Lead Pastor, Rusty Gunn invites you to come as you are to a fresh new approach to church. Church That Matters is a church where people can be themselves. Nobody is forced to look like, act like, talk like, vote like or smell like each other. People can experience a life changing encounter with God through authentic community with real people. Church That Matters is a group of imperfect people who realize it and don’t pretend to be otherwise. We are people on a journey of faith with Jesus Christ and we know from experience that this journey doesn’t always look as pretty and nice as we hoped for. But we have found life in Christ and want others to have the same opportunity. Our mission is to be a church that matters to God, each other, our city, and the world!

Who sits on the throne of your heart? đź‘‘

We all want to be loved, accepted, and valued. But what happens when our desire for approval begins to matter more than our desire to please God?

In Week 3 of Faithful in Babylon, we're confronting the idols of relationships, reputation, and approval—and discovering why only God can truly satisfy our need for love and acceptance.

We all want to be in control. But what happens when our desire for control becomes an idol?

Yesterday, Pastor Jim continued our Faithful in Babylon series with Part 2, “The Gods We Try to Rule.” We were challenged to recognize how our desire for control, influence, and recognition can take the place of trusting God.

True freedom isn't found in having control. It's found in surrendering it to the One who does.
