We had a great time serving lunch and getting to spend some time with everyone. We’re so thankful for the opportunity to be part of an event that helps support families in our community.

Community Project is here at Garfield STEAM Academy to provide FREE lunch for our community! You are invited to come eat with us, even if you already stopped by the Swap Shop today.

Sand Springs Public Schools families are invited to the Sand Springs Swap Shop, where families can pick up gently used clothing, shoes, home goods, and more, all at no cost!
Date: TODAY, August 14, 2026
Time: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Location: Garfield STEAM Academy, 701 N Roosevelt Ave, Sand Springs, OK 74063

Shopping is completely free. Those who are able are encouraged to bring one canned food item as a suggested donation, but a donation is not required to participate.

Several community partners will also be available to connect families with additional resources and support:
• Sand Springs Care Closet
• MatterMart
• Sand Springs Community Services
• The Spring Shelter — 9 a.m.–12 p.m.
• Community Project — Free meal beginning at 11:30 a.m.
• Oklahoma Caring Foundation Caring Van — Free immunizations from 1–3 p.m.

Good morning, CP family! ☀️

Garfield STEM Academy is hosting a Swap Shop on August 14th from 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.

If your family could use a little extra help getting ready for the school year, they’ll have gently used clothing available to shop for FREE, along with many other community resources.

🍽️ We’ll be there serving lunch from 11:30 AM–12:30 PM (or until we run out).

Admission is free! They are also hosting a canned food drive, so if you’re able to bring a canned food donation, it would be greatly appreciated.

Good afternoon, CP family! ❤️

Here’s a little update on where we are at with our upcoming events.

Since we have decided to focus on outdoor events due to the additional cost of using city buildings, we are postponing our next dinner until September, when the weather starts to cool down.

After September, we will be serving hot dogs again at Boo at the Box. Following that, our next dinner will be our big Christmas dinner! 🎄🍽️

Next year, we will probably move to quarterly dinners, as it can be difficult to continue asking the same businesses for donations so frequently. That being said, the businesses listed below have been an incredible blessing to us and have helped make these events possible.

Please make sure to support these businesses whenever you can! ❤️

Good Morning CP Family,

It is with great sadness that I share we WILL NOT be having a June dinner.

Unfortunately our schedule this month is not going to give us the time.

On the bright side of this. I get to meet the lady who donated the kidney to me. 🙏🏽 We go to Dallas June 27th to meet her. I have been in contact with her through social media and can already tell how special of a person she is.
