A HUGE thank you to those who are working tirelessly to inform, advocate, and prove the incredible worth of ALL Oklahomans regardless of ability and the fundamental importance of supporting individual's with intellectual disabilities so as to see them reach their full potential!

The threats to disability rights and services have escalated from concerning to critical—and The Arc of Oklahoma is paying attention!

Today we spoke with Senator James Lankford and his staff about how Medicaid benefits are a lifeline to the disability community.

Medicaid funds the majority of services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

From the bustling cities to the quiet rural areas, their traditions and contributions are a constant reminder of the land's original inhabitants. Their resilience and determination in the face of adversity are truly inspiring. Let us take this day to acknowledge their past and present struggles, and to commit to supporting their ongoing fight for justice and equality.

Despite the challenges they have faced, Indigenous cultures continue to thrive. Their art, music, language, and traditions enrich our lives and communities. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from and celebrate these vibrant cultures.
