The 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗕𝗼𝗼 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝘄 was on the loose!

From Fremont and Hayward to Concord, Dublin, Pleasanton, Tracy, Manteca, and all the way to Stockton, our Boo Crew made the rounds, visiting every Spirit Halloween store fundraising for George Mark through this year's Spirit of Children
campaign!

Armed with treats, plenty of Halloween spirit, and a monstrous amount of THANK YOUs, our Boo Crew, including our beloved therapy dog Lucy, stopped by to show some love to the incredible Spirit Halloween teams!

A HUGE, spooky THANK YOU to all the store managers and associates for their enthusiasm, generosity, and hard work raising funds to support the children and families we serve!

Halloween is just around the corner, and soon we'll be seeing superheroes everywhere!

But not every superhero is out collecting candy or competing in costume contests. Some are on a different kind of mission: bringing smiles and a little superhero magic to kids who could use an extra dose of joy.

A big THANK YOU to our amazing friends at Heart of a Hero for swinging by and spending time with our kids, and bringing along some Spidey surprises!

It's , and we're celebrating an incredible show of community support!

A huge thank-you to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office for raising over $43K for George Mark Children's House through its 2nd Annual Top Gun Shooting Competition & Training Event on October 10!

Former George Mark Board member and bereaved parent Sergeant Reggie Cooks of the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office joined the event to share the story of his son, Jabari, and his family's experience at George Mark.

Reggie and George Mark's Marketing Head, Ricky Resurreccion, accepted the generous donation on behalf of our House.

We're grateful to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office, event organizers, sponsors, and everyone who participated. Thank you for supporting the children and families we serve!

Every child with a serious illness deserves compassionate care, and every family deserves support along the way.

Last week, leaders from George Mark Children’s House joined fellow members of the Bay Area Pediatric Palliative Care Co-Lab at the 2026 Coalition for Compassionate Care of California Summit.

Our CEO Shekinah Eliassen, Medical Director Dr. Tom McNalley, and Board Member Dr. Justin Baker joined fellow Co-Lab member David Cogswell to share how healthcare organizations can work together to make care more accessible to children and families.

Through the Co-Lab, George Mark and our partners are working to close gaps in care, connect families with the services they need, and bring compassionate support closer to home.

Because no family should have to navigate their child's healthcare journey alone.

We still can't believe what an extraordinary night we had!

Nearly 400 friends and supporters came together for George Mark Children's House's 2026 Gala, sharing an evening of unforgettable music, heartfelt stories, and incredible generosity. Together, we raised more than $1.1 million, making this our most successful fundraising gala to date!

George Mark Children’s House and Crunchyroll came together to create an unforgettable day for Leila, a devoted anime fan and the loving sister of Milo (), who is seven years old and receiving hospice care.

Milo lives with Spastic Ataxia Type 5, a rare neurodegenerative mitochondrial disease. While George Mark supports the whole family through their journey, Milo and Leila’s family shared a special wish: to create a day just for Leila.

When Crunchyroll learned about Leila’s passion for drawing and anime, they made it happen. Leila, her dad, and George Mark staff were welcomed for a private tour of Crunchyroll’s offices, where Leila received a swag bag of items from some of her favorite shows, including ‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ and ‘My Hero Academia.’

The day was a reminder that caring for a family means caring for every member—not just the patient. Moments of joy, recognition, and respite can make a lasting difference, and partnerships like this help create memories that families will carry with them forever.

𝗪𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 $𝟭.𝟭 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻!

Last Friday, nearly 400 members of our George Mark community came together at the Four Seasons San Francisco for An Evening of Love & Lyrics, helping us raise more than $1.1 million in support of the children and families we serve.

To every family, friend, donor, partner, volunteer and supporter who continues to stand with George Mark, thank you.

Because of you, we can continue to be there for families like Kaitlyn’s, Jahiem’s, Leena and Yasmeen’s, and the countless others who come through our doors seeking comfort, joy, connection and compassionate care.
