We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to our generous donors and sponsors who have made it possible for us to offer this seminar free of charge to each sophomore. Their support and commitment to empowering young leaders are truly remarkable.

🌟 Exciting News! J-Crew is ready to bring their OUTSTANDING energy to EDGE Youth Leadership Seminar 2023! 🌟

We are thrilled to announce that the J-Crew (Junior Crew) is geared up and prepared to make a remarkable impact at this year's seminar. Our dedicated volunteers, who have their arms raised high in the shape of an "O" for "OUTSTANDING" in this picture, are ready to bring their passion and youthful spirit to the event.

The J-Crew members play a vital role as they are paired with team leaders to lead their own groups during the seminar. They act as junior Team Leaders, bridging the gap between the students and adult Team Leaders, creating an inclusive and dynamic atmosphere.

To become part of the J-Crew, members must be alumni from the previous year's seminar and meet EDGE's requirements, which include dedicating 100 hours to community service. This commitment ensures that our J-Crew members not only have the experience and skills but also the heart to make a meaningful difference.

At EDGE, we take immense pride in being an entirely volunteer-run organization. This means that everyone involved, including our dedicated J-Crew members, contributes their time and efforts purely out of their passion and commitment to making the seminar as OUTSTANDING as possible.

We extend our gratitude to all the volunteers who have made EDGE possible over the years. Your selfless dedication and unwavering support have played a crucial role in empowering young leaders and fostering their growth.

Our Story

For the last 10 years, we have been proudly serving the youth of Northern California with our annual leadership seminar. As we have grown, our vision for the future has expanded beyond just Northern California and beyond just one annual conference.

EDGE stands for Explore, Develop, Grow and Empower. The name captures the students’ journey throughout the seminar: they explore ideas and self-identity, develop leadership, public speaking and teamwork skills, grow in confidence, and in relationships with their peers, and are empowered to go back to their schools and communities to make a difference through volunteerism.

EDGE is a three day seminar that develops leadership potential, cultivates communication skills, and inspires community responsibility in high school sophomores.

Our mission is to develop leadership potential in high school sophomores and inspires them to give back. Through interactive experiences with their peers and leaders in the community, young leaders gain confidence and skills that enable them to create positive improvements in their schools, communities and the world. By engaging youth and developing their leadership skills with a focus on service, we can feed the need for talented leadership in the public, private and nonprofit sectors to create the world in which we wish to live.
