My Eden Voice is heartbroken and deeply disturbed by the shooting that took place on Monday at the Islamic Center of San Diego. We understand that this incident has left many confused, angry and sad. You are not alone.

On May 1st, 2026, communities nationwide are taking action for a Workers Over Billionaires day of action to disrupt business as usual and demand a future where people come before profit.

We honor the call for: No Work. No School. No Shopping.

A collective action rooted in our history, from the Day Without Immigrants 2006 to Minnesota’s resistance to ICE.

We’re fighting for: Tax the rich. No ICE. No war.

Protect our right to vote.

Real change doesn’t come from waiting. It comes from people moving together.

At My Eden Voice, we believe real safety means investment in our communities such as housing, education, healthcare, not surveillance or punishment.

However you may show up, your action matters.

Because when we move together, we show where real power lives with the people, not billionaires.

Dear Eden Area Community: We hear you. These past few days have been filled with anxiety and uncertainty as we’ve seen an increase in ICE activity at airports, including one incident at SFO last Sunday.

Here we addressed some of the fears we are hearing from our community members and offer some opportunities to come together in community at My Eden Voice during these difficult times. We encourage you to follow and regularly check for the latest updates on ICE activity in Alameda County

Meet Tara, a resident who’s lived at Avalon Mobile Home Park in Castro Valley for the past 10 years. Ever since the mobile home park was purchased by Three Pillar Communities, a corporate landlord, Tara lives in fear that she and her elderly parents will be pushed out of their home.

The park is owned by Three Pillars Communities, a corporate landlord with a history of closing down mobile home parks for profit. For Judy, a park closure could mean becoming homeless.
