One More Wave

One More Wave has awarded 700 veteran surf therapy grants, and facilitated thousands of meet-ups.

One More Wave is a certified IRS tax-exempt non-profit 501(c)(3). Our mission is to provide wounded and disabled veterans with customized surfing equipment and a community to surf with.

Stephanie Klein (Stephanie Hill Klein) is a One More Wave volunteer, shredder, and spouse to a former Navy SEAL. She helps spread the stoke at local San Diego surf breaks as well as our 3rd Saturday surf meetups in Del Mar. Heck yeah! 🏄‍♂️🤙🌊

Rider Profile: US Army veteran Danny O’Neel 🇺🇸

Danny served as a forward observer and did two combat deployments to Iraq 🪖

His custom One More Wave surfboard features his unit logo and the M240 machine gun he used in Baghdad.

Danny didn’t grow up surfing, but he grew to love the sport after his military service.

“I love that surfing is a mix of discipline and recklessness,” he said. “We must be disciplined because if we are not paying attention the waves will knock us over. There needs to be a little bit of recklessness because no different from combat, if you’re in the wrong spot, you’re about to get wrecked.”
