Today is International Overdose Awareness Day, a time to remember and honor those we have lost, support those impacted by substance use, and continue working toward a future where fewer lives are affected by overdose. 💙

We believe prevention starts with education, connection, and community support. Through our Alcohol, To***co, & Other Drug (ATOD) Prevention Program, we work alongside community members, partners, and youth to prevent substance misuse and expand access to resources that support healthier communities.

Our overdose prevention efforts include providing education on fentanyl-related overdose prevention, promoting safe medication disposal, and sharing resources that help individuals and families stay informed and supported.

Today and every day, we can help reduce stigma, increase awareness, and remind our community that support and resources are available. 🤝

Mental health support can change lives, but access to care remains a challenge for many.

SAY San Diego President & CEO, Louie Nguyen, joined K**I News last month on Good Business San Diego to discuss SAY San Diego’s work in the community, including our efforts to expand access to mental health services through the WellSpring Initiative.

At SAY San Diego, we believe that mental health care shouldn’t have a waiting list. Through the WellSpring Initiative, we’re raising funds to provide 1,300 therapy sessions each year, deliver mental health services to San Diego schools, and make mental health care more affordable for children, youth, and families.

By removing barriers to care, we can help more people receive the support they need to thrive. 🌱
