Event Details:
📅 Race Dates: June 13–14, 2026
📍 Location: SBR Motorsports Park
🔄 Track Directions:
• Round 2 – Counterclockwise
• Round 3 – Clockwise

Round 1 gave us a chance to reset, refocus, and listen. As we move into SBR, our goal remains the same — to keep evolving and finding better ways to serve the Colorado karting community. Whether that’s improving the race experience, simplifying processes, or creating more track time where it matters, we’re committed to adapting and doing the work.

Running both directions this weekend adds another layer of challenge and ensures drivers are rewarded for consistency, adaptability, and racecraft.

CKT will NOT be hosting an official practice day prior to the event. SBR will be facilitating practice in Friday June 12, 2026. Camping is premitted at SBR. Please contact SBR directly for any further information regarding practice and camping.

We appreciate everyone who continues to show up, give feedback, and support what we’re working toward. This series has always been shaped by the people in it.

If you have any questions, email [email protected] or drop a comment below.

CKT continues to move forward — learning, adjusting, and staying committed to the racers who make it matter.

See you at SBR. 👊

What Do You Think Thursdays 🤔

In a lot of motorsports, racers get a share of the pie—profit sharing, payouts, appearance money, or free entries earned through performance. It’s a way to reward the drivers who help put on the show and keep them coming back.

And even closer to home, we do see versions of this in some local events—where every driver who makes the final gets paid something, whether it goes to the driver or the team owner.

But across karting as a whole, that’s not really the standard.

Tracks and series have to make money—no question. Without profitable events, there’s no facility, no staff, no racing. People should support their local tracks and series.

But at the same time… racers and teams are the show.

So where’s the balance?

What if more events leaned into:

✅ Paying everyone who makes the final (not just podiums)
✅ Free entries for all final starters at the next race
✅ Incentives that reward racers who consistently show up and compete
✅ A structure that still protects profit margins, but reinvests in the field

Would that:
– Increase entries long-term?
– Build stronger loyalty to tracks and series?
– Create deeper, more competitive racing?

Or are rental income and profits more important for tracks and series to make that work?

At the end of the day, a healthy karting scene needs both:
🏁 Profitable tracks and series
🏁 Racers who feel valued and invested

Where do you think the balance should be?

We’re excited to welcome Michael Ginevicz back for his third year as the presenting sponsor of the 206 Senior class! 🏁

Michael’s commitment to karting runs deep — as a racer, a supporter of the community, and someone who genuinely believes in the long‑term growth of the sport in Colorado. His presence on and off the track continues to make a real impact and helps keep this sport moving forward.

He is hosting a Cars & Coffee on Saturday, May 30th from 8–11 AM at 4238 York St, Denver — a free community event with coffee, donuts, and a morning full of great cars and great people. ☕🚗 All are welcome, and we encourage racers, families, and fans to come out, connect, and enjoy the morning together.

We’d also like to acknowledge Leary Racing for supporting the event and being part of the local racing community. 🏎️

If you’d like to connect with Michael directly, you can reach him at 303‑810‑8517 or visit michaelginevicz.com. 📞💬

Here’s to another strong season with Michael and the entire 206 Senior field. 🔥🏆

Taking the first step is the hardest. In spite of on going rhetoric it is important to reach out, listen, acknowledge our faults, and find a path forward. Forming your own opinion is okay but take notice of those that keep the same rhetoric. WORDS HAVE REAL WORLD CONSEQUENCES. Personal growth and letting go is hard.

Take a moment and put yourself in the other person's shoes. Would you be okay with them talking about or portraying you, your family, you children in this manner. In the world we live in there should be zero tolerance for this. We challenge everyone including competitors, track owners, teams, and spectators to stand up and say it isn't okay.

We have had some great but difficult conversation over the past few days and hope to continue those. Thank you to those who have engaged in these constructive conversations.

Take a moment and check on your friends, even the tough guys.
