🏁 IMPORTANT UPDATE – Rounds 4 & 5 at GJMS

As we prepare for Rounds 4 & 5 at Grand Junction Motor Speedway, we want to highlight how important early registration is for planning a successful event. Entry numbers directly impact staffing, scheduling, race group structure, safety coverage, tire orders, and the overall flow of the weekend.

We appreciate everyone who has raced with CKT this season and helped us build real momentum. The participation levels for Rounds 1–3 have been strong and sustainable, allowing us to continue putting on well‑run, competitive race weekends. Your support is the reason we’ve been able to keep improving the series and offering meaningful race experiences across Colorado.

However, hosting an event at GJMS requires a certain level of participation to make the weekend viable. CKT must reach a minimum of 25 entries per round for Grand Junction by 12:00 PM on July 15, 2026.  Hitting this threshold is what makes it financially feasible for us to hold the event at GJMS and deliver the quality, staffing, and structure our racers expect.

If we do not meet that minimum, we will have to reschedule the event to ensure we can run a properly supported race weekend.

If you plan to race Rounds 4 & 5, please register as soon as possible: 👉 https://ckt.motorsportreg.com/events/ckt-2026-round-4-5-gjms-grand-junction-motor-speedway-colorado-karting-tour-938409

Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, give feedback, and support what we’re building. Early registration matters — and your participation directly shapes the future of karting in Colorado.

See you at the track. 👊

We also want to thank everyone for the feedback regarding hosting this event at GJMS. While racing at Grand Junction has historically been a financial loss for the series, the support and turnout we’ve seen this season reinforce our commitment to keeping this track on the schedule. As long as the community continues to show up and value racing on the Western Slope, we’ll continue making GJMS a meaningful part of the Colorado Karting Tour.

And with the season heating up, there are still a lot of racers in the mix for the championship. Every round matters — don’t miss the chance to score points, tighten the gap, or make a move in the standings.

Camping is permitted at GJMS. Please contact the facility directly for any questions regarding camping or venue‑specific details.

We remain committed to keeping costs as low as possible for our racers. CKT will continue prioritizing affordability and access, so more families and drivers can stay involved in the sport. Thank you to every racer, family, volunteer, and supporter who continues to show up, offer feedback, and help shape what we’re building. This series has always been driven by the people in it.

If you have any questions, email [email protected] or drop a comment below.

CKT continues to move forward — learning, adjusting, and staying committed to the racers who make it matter.

See you in Grand Junction.

📊 Points Are LIVE on Speedhive!

We know, we know… “Why does it take so long to post points?”  Honestly, we ask ourselves the same thing.

Before anything goes live, we have to hold a meeting…
then coordinate with our Race Director…
loop in our Tech Director…
consult with our newly‑appointed Vice President of Points…
run it past the Assistant to the Regional Vice President of Points…
and finally get approval from the Points Advisory Board.

And remember — every single one of these “positions” is a volunteer role. Unfortunately, their real jobs don’t accept “Sorry, I was updating karting points” as a valid excuse… we’ve tried.

This year, all points will be hosted on Speedhive as well as the Colorado Karting Tour website.  If you spot an error, email us at [email protected] and we’ll get it corrected.

The committee has convened, the planets have aligned, and your points are officially updated. Go check out where you stand!

See you at the next round 🏁

Colorado is headed to TSRS Amarillo this weekend with 10+ young racers, strong teams behind them, and one privateer carrying the Colorado flag on his own. Best of luck to every driver, crew, and family making the trip — the work behind the scenes is what makes weekends like this possible.

And yes… we’ve even got one adult in the mix. The kids said they’ve got it under control.
