AT&T Pioneers San Diego Council AT&T Pioneers San Diego Council is the volunteer organization for AT&T active and retired telephone employees. We volunteer in our local communities.

Thanks for visiting our Pioneers Chapter website. We’re excited that you are interested in learning more about the impact we make in our local communities. Our Chapter is part of the 325,000-member strong AT&T Pioneers. The great thing about our organization is that everyone can participate,contributing the volunteer time you have available. We also have opportunities for families to be involved.

We’re Proud. . . To be part of an organization that has been helping in local
communities for nearly 100 years. You may not know it but just in the past year the AT&T Pioneers led
the collection of more than 50,000 pounds of food in a company-wide
food drive benefiting Share Our Strength. We are also part of a Cell Phone Recycling Campaign where we
collected over 25,000 cell phones that helped support Cell Phones for Soldiers. AT&T Aspire is another important initiative for us. Bringing 100,000 high school students to AT&T work-places through the Job Shadow initiative.

AT&T San Diego Pioneers Beach Clean Up held on June 5, 2026, brought in over 100 volunteers to help pick up trash along the Fiesta Island shoreline.

The weather was beautiful as always which allowed us to have the opportunity for fellowship and celebrate our beach clean up success.

We successfully recruited 2 new Pioneer members at this event.

2026 AT&T Pioneers Beach Clean-Up!
🌊🌎♻️🚮☀️🏖️💙

We are excited to invite you to an impactful and rewarding community service project—a Beach Clean-Up at Fiesta Island in San Diego on Friday, June 5, 2026!

Together, we’ll work to protect our beautiful coastline, remove trash and debris, and demonstrate what it means to be true environmental stewards.

This event is being organized in partnership with Clean Trails,
a non-profit dedicated to keeping our natural spaces clean and safe for all.

Your participation will make a lasting difference in the health of our local beaches, marine life, and community!

Event Details
What: Beach Clean-Up & BBQ
Where: Fiesta Island, San Diego
When: Friday, June 5, 2026
Time: 9am to 12pm PST
Why: To clean and protect our beaches and enjoy time together as a community.

What to Bring:
Reusable Water Bottle: Help us reduce plastic waste by bringing your own bottle. Hydration stations will be available.
Sunscreen & Sunglasses: Stay protected while working under the sun.
Comfortable Clothing & Shoes: Dress for the outdoors and wear shoes suitable for walking on sand. Wear black AT&T Pioneers T-Shirt.

BBQ Celebration
After our hard work, we’ll celebrate with a BBQ for all volunteers as a thank-you for your efforts!
Enjoy delicious food, great company, and the satisfaction of knowing you’ve contributed to a cleaner, healthier environment.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make our May 6th Blood Drive @ Copley such a meaningful success!

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and supporters, we collected 24 units of blood, including a donation from 1 first-time donor!🩸
Even more inspiring, this single drive has the potential to help save 72 lives in just one day!♥️

These results are a powerful reminder that every donation matters. A simple act of giving blood can provide hope, healing, and a second chance for patients facing surgery, medical treatments, emergencies, and other critical situations.

We are also proud to share that our Copley Blood Drive ranked as the 3rd largest out of 10 drives held that day — a wonderful testament to the compassion, commitment, and community spirit of everyone involved.

We look forward to continuing this momentum at our next Blood Drive on August 4th!

The AT&T Pioneers San Diego Council Earth Day and Membership Drive was wonderful!

Thank you to all those who joined us for our 2026 Earth Day Event on April 15th, including our AT&T retirees who came out to support our annual project!

A big thanks to AT&T Community Engagement for providing the funds to make this event possible! 🌎🫶

We successfully had over 50 volunteers join us to donate their e-waste and participate in our planting station 🌸 by repotting flowers, vegetables and herbs.
We also sent volunteers home with their own milkweed to grow 🦋

SDC hosted a BBQ lunch to thank all who joined us at the event 💙

We hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did!

We're excited to share that the AT&T San Diego Council Pioneers will be hosting an Earth Day E-Waste Event in partnership with Computers 2 Kids, San Diego - C2SDK on April 15th from 9am-2pm at Copley Dr! 🌎♻️

This is the perfect opportunity to bring in your unwanted electronic devices and contribute to a great cause!

We'll also be potting flowers at our DIY planting station🌸

And don’t miss out on the BBQ lunch hosted by the AT&T Pioneers San Diego Council.

Our first Mobile Blood & Membership Drive of 2026 was held February 10th @ Copley with San Diego Blood Bank 🩸🚐

Thank you to all the volunteers who joined us to donate blood! ♥️

Exciting results from our drive included
⁃ 2 first time blood donors
⁃ 20 units of blood collected
⁃ 3rd largest drive in SD for 2/10

Everyone who donated received a box of Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies along with lunch provided by C4C, Communities 4 Connection.

Together with AT&T Pioneers, San Diego Life Member Club volunteers, it was a very successful day!

Our next Blood Drive will be May 6th, please mark your calendars.
