This research-based program was developed and produced in San Diego by a nonprofit organization called See Beneath, Inc. Founded in 2011 by Gerin Gaskin, Jim Turner, and Casey Hoffman, this dedicated team has since cultiv
ated an enthusiastic following throughout the autism community of southern California. Both entertaining and instructive, each episode is designed to facilitate interaction between children and their parents. Our mission is to engage and educate children with autism by providing innovative tools that foster positive change and help children reach developmental milestones. We endeavor to instruct and connect with these children in a way that truly speaks to them. We are part of a growing movement based on autism research and building awareness about ASD. We are proud to contribute to a current worldwide effort that seeks to enhance the opportunities and capabilities of children with ASD. We work to produce creative strategies used by families, educators, and interventionists as they engage these children and foster growth. We help kids and their families reach educational goals in social communication, play skills, and imitation. This project is based on years of clinical experience and is designed to teach children with ASD and help families connect with their children. We are currently working on the first full season of Aiko & Egor, which now consists of three fully completed episodes! Gerin and Casey both have experience at the University of California San Diego Autism Intervention Research Program for several years. Their pilot study for this project involved in-depth research about its effectiveness and potential for effective skill development. The results were incredibly encouraging, which is why the Aiko and Egor fan base grows each year! We want to create a world where children with autism have the tools necessary in order to grow and achieve their full potential.
