Meet Volunteer WHIT Tutor Mia Perez!

“I attend Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi where I am a sophomore majoring in Nursing with a minor in psychology!

Being a WHIT tutor has allowed me to better my community and help spread the power of knowledge and education. It has always been my passion to work with kids and helping them grow intellectually has become a second passion for me through this program.

Every time we have a session my heart is so full because she has improved so much. It makes me feel like I have been a part of her growth process, and I am truly grateful for that. I am honored to be her tutor, and she has had an impact on my life as much as I hope to have made an impact on hers.”
