According to the New York Times, 95% of Maryland gas users would save on their utility bills if they installed a heat pump.

Maryland! Voting by mail? LISTEN UP!

There are several ways to return your ballot. Make sure you choose a method that ensures your ballot gets counted. Remember, your ballot must be in a dropbox, or postmarked – not mailed – by November 3rd! Ballot return options:

– drop your ballot off in a secure dropbox
– bring your ballot into the post office and ask for a free same day postmark
– drop your ballot off at your polling location on election day
– mail your ballot back TODAY October 26th to give it enough time to get processed.

Maryland needs cheap, clean, local energy. It’s possible if our leaders take bold action. We must build more solar, wind, and batteries, hold utility companies and data centers accountable, and have efficient, healthy homes.

Right now, BGE is proposing increasing electric delivery rates by roughly 17% - which would mean $156 million more out of BGE customers’ pockets each year.

In the next month, the Public Service Commission is hosting public hearings on whether to approve BGE’s proposal: your opportunity to speak out as a BGE customer and oppose this rate hike.

Join us on Thursday 10/29 at 6PM, for an organizing meeting to learn more about this rate hike and get you ready to testify!

📣 BGE is proposing to increase electric delivery rates by roughly 17% and increase their profits. It’s time to tell our utility regulators at the Public Service Commission to STOP this massive BGE rate hike! 🛑

There are three upcoming hearings you can testify at – and we’ll provide a guide to make it easy:

➡️ Virtual Public Hearing: Wednesday, November 4 at 6:30pm, 2026 (sign up by noon Nov. 2)
