Yesterday was Criminal Justice Day for Leadership Rowan Class #34!

We kicked off the day at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, learning about their law enforcement programs and hearing from Karen South Jones and Kristen Estepp with YSUP Rowan.

Next, we visited the Salisbury Police Department for a behind-the-scenes look at crime investigations and their Crime Information Center with Chief Smith. Thank you to SPD for lunch! We also enjoyed connecting with officers from China Grove and Spencer.

We wrapped up with the Rowan County Sheriff's Office, learning about their drones, robots, snipers, and other technology, plus a special visit from K-9 Sandy 🐾

A huge thank you to all of our hosts and speakers for giving our class a closer look at the people and resources working to keep Rowan County safe!
