At the Minnesota Tool Library we share resources to reduce our environmental footprint and save money that can then be re-invested in our homes, businesses and neighborhoods. We are a local, cooperative, volunteer-driven nonprofit that offers our community Access over Ownership. We empower individuals through DIY, reduce waste through shared resources, and help to cultivate a more resilient and equitable community by providing low-cost access to tools, training, and workspace. Our SPTL Branch is now located in the North End Neighborhood at 1010 Dale Street at the rear of the building. It features a shared makerspace/woodshop where you can build in community, thousands of tools you can borrow for all your home-improvement and DIY projects, and hands-on classes. Become A Member:
• Help the environment by reducing waste.
• Save $ and storage space by borrowing items instead of buying them.
• Build community - share skills/knowledge and benefit from others.
* The Saint Paul Tool Library is only one branch of our organization. It primarily serves residents in Hamline-Midway, Frogtown, Como, Union Park, Roseville, and Saint Anthony Park neighborhoods, but all are welcome. You do not need to be a local resident to join/participate. We also have a second branch located in Northeast Minneapolis.
