We want to take a moment to show our appreciation to Germantown Animal Shelter and Jessie Sidle for their incredible generosity and continued support of our rescue!

They generously donated FIVE food vaults to help us keep our rescue pups’ food safe, fresh, and secure. And as if that wasn’t enough, they also donated EIGHT plastic travel crates to help more of our dogs safely reach their destinations and the bright futures waiting for them.

These donations make a real difference in our day-to-day operations and allow us to continue doing what we do for the dogs who need us most.

💙🐾 HAPPY TAILS: WOODY 🐾💙

Woody was the last of the Disney litter to find his forever home, but sometimes the best things are worth waiting for. 🥹❤️

Woody’s story began when his momma, Sasha, was pulled from the euthanasia list, unexpectedly pregnant. What started as a rescue mission to save one dog turned into a whole new chapter, and Woody was born safely in our care. From the very beginning, he was given a chance at life, all because someone stepped up for his momma. 🐶❤️

While his siblings found their families, Woody patiently waited with his loving foster family, who made sure he knew he was safe, loved, and never forgotten. His mom just hadn’t found him yet. Then, one day, she did. 🏡💙

She met Woody and knew he was the one for her. The meet-and-greet went beautifully, and both his new mom and foster family gave their approval. It was one of those matches where you just know the wait was worth it. They were perfect for each other! 🥰

A couple of days later, Woody’s foster mom lovingly packed up all his favorite things and took him to his forever home. He got to explore his new backyard and play with his new mom while also saying goodbye to the mom who had loved and cared for him while he waited. There were new adventures ahead, but he would always carry that love with him. 🥹🐾

And THIS is what fostering does. ❤️

Sometimes our dogs find their families quickly. Sometimes they wait a little longer. Their perfect person is out there, searching for them, even if they haven’t found each other yet.

Fostering gives these dogs a safe place to land, a family to love them, and the chance to wait for the right home instead of being overlooked simply because their turn hasn’t come yet.

Woody’s story is a beautiful reminder that the last one chosen is never the least special. Sometimes, the wait is simply part of the story that leads them home. And sometimes, saving one mama from euthanasia means an entire litter gets the chance to grow up, be loved, and find families of their own. 💙🐾

We are so incredibly thankful for Woody’s patient, loving foster family. Thank you for loving him, believing in him, and giving him a home while his forever mom was still searching for her boy. You made it possible for Woody to have his happy ending! 🏡❤️

🎃🐾 FIVE DOLLAR FRIGHT NIGHT: THE HORROR CONTINUES. 👻😂

We asked the dogs if they wanted to go trick-or-treating to help raise money for the rescue.

They said absolutely not.

Apparently walking door-to-door begging strangers for handouts is beneath them.

So naturally...

THEY SENT US. 💀😂

And their list of demands is getting ridiculous.

🎃 Food.
👻 Vet bills.
🦴 Treats.
💊 Medications.
🧸 Toys they’ll destroy in 14 minutes.
🏡 Supplies.
🐶 And whatever other bu****it these tiny freeloaders decide they simply CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT.

We suggested they get jobs.

They reported us to HR.

We suggested they cut back on expenses.

They stared at us and ordered more snacks.

So here we are, standing on the internet with our little virtual Halloween bucket:

TRICK OR TREAT, GIVE US FIVE BUCKS. 😂🎃

Seriously. $5.

Because when a whole bunch of people toss $5 into the bucket, suddenly we’ve got food in bowls, medicine in bellies, vet bills getting paid, and dogs living their absolute BEST lives while contributing NOT ONE DAMN DOLLAR toward the operation.

Honestly, it’s frightening.

Not ghosts.
Not goblins.
Not haunted houses.

OUR VET BILLS. 😳💀

So help us make this a little less terrifying.
