Cancer Kickers Soccer Club

Cancer Kickers Soccer Club The Cancer Kickers Soccer Club is a non-profit organization committed to helping kids fight cancer with teamwork.

What began as a passion project for the Clothier family of Memphis, TN in 2017 is now an international club that has served over 2,100 families across all 50 states and 23 countries. When a child battling cancer or who is in remission is nominated by a loved one, we send a customized care package including a personalized jersey, a backpack full of Cancer Kicker gear, and an encouraging note straig

ht to their door and at no cost to them. These customized player kits serve as a symbol of solidarity connecting children as they face their common opponent – childhood cancer. By joining the Cancer Kickers Soccer Club, these families become part of a resilient support network of people working together to rise above the statistics and kick cancer to the curb. Additionally, through resources and online communities, we are able to help families connect despite physical barriers. At the end of the day, Cancer Kickers Soccer Club is about more than simply sharing the same colors on a jersey — it’s about being part of a team. When a child is facing a tough opponent like cancer, every ounce of Comfort, Community and Connections we can offer helps provide them with the strength they need to keep on fighting.

It brings us incredible joy to see our Cancer Kickers teammates receiving their copies of We Never Kick Alone and hearing how much they are enjoying the story and illustrations. Our hope is that every teammate feels seen and represented within its pages.

Our teammate Tyler recently shared photos of opening his copy and expressed how much he loves both the story and the artwork. Tyler is living with a terminal brainstem glioma. Remarkably, his tumor has remained stable for six years with treatment and has now been stable for a year off treatment. His family shared their deep gratitude that research continues to provide access to promising trial medications for him to try.

From diagnosis to giving back ❤️

Evie has been part of our Cancer Kickers community for a number of years now, receiving support, encouragement, and birthday cards along the way. Now cancer-free and working with young children, she’s passing that support forward, sharing our book with kids who need it most.

Her words remind us why we do what we do: these moments of connection, care, and continuity truly make a lasting difference, not just during treatment, but long after.

Thank you, Evie, for being part of our journey and for helping others through theirs.

There’s news that’s hard to hear in person, and news that’s even harder to hear when you’re thousands of miles away. When someone you love receives a cancer diagnosis and starts treatment, your immediate urge is to help.

But hours away, that urge turns to helplessness. You can’t drive to appointments, drop off dinner, or sit in a waiting room.

You can’t even give your loved ones a much-needed hug. And in most cases, it’s not feasible to pick up and move closer to home, even if you wanted to.

But wherever you are, there are things you can do to support a beloved child as they face cancer treatment. And they matter.

We invite you to read our latest blog post to learn about How You Can Support a Child with Cancer When You Live Far Away. Link in bio.
