Cancer Kickers Soccer Club The Cancer Kickers Soccer Club is a non-profit organization committed to helping kids fight cancer with teamwork.

What began as a passion project for the Clothier family of Memphis, TN in 2017 is now an international club that has served over 2,100 families across all 50 states and 23 countries. When a child battling cancer or who is in remission is nominated by a loved one, we send a customized care package including a personalized jersey, a backpack full of Cancer Kicker gear, and an encouraging note straig

ht to their door and at no cost to them. These customized player kits serve as a symbol of solidarity connecting children as they face their common opponent – childhood cancer. By joining the Cancer Kickers Soccer Club, these families become part of a resilient support network of people working together to rise above the statistics and kick cancer to the curb. Additionally, through resources and online communities, we are able to help families connect despite physical barriers. At the end of the day, Cancer Kickers Soccer Club is about more than simply sharing the same colors on a jersey — it’s about being part of a team. When a child is facing a tough opponent like cancer, every ounce of Comfort, Community and Connections we can offer helps provide them with the strength they need to keep on fighting.

We’re proud to welcome Maxton to the CKSC team! This amazing little boy is three years old and is currently battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).

Nearly a year ago, he was diagnosed with this rare blood cancer. Due to his illness, he lost the use of his legs, but his family remains hopeful that he will regain mobility soon. Maxton’s treatment has been incredibly intense, including frequent surgeries and a demanding treatment plan that is expected to last at least two years. Through it all, he has shown remarkable strength and courage.

Maxton is also autistic and nonverbal, but his smile speaks volumes. His family says his smile is contagious and brings joy to everyone around him. Affectionately known as , he continues to inspire those who know him with his resilience and determination. Every day, Maxton reminds us of what true bravery looks like.

Maxton, you are a star! Don’t ever let anyone take your shine away! This cancer will never be able to conquer your incredible spirit! Stay strong and remember that there is a rainbow after every storm!

Every year, more than 400,000 children worldwide face a cancer diagnosis. We’re standing with these courageous kids and their families as we work to raise awareness and shine a light on the fight against childhood cancer.

A little hand tightens its fingers around yours. You look down into eyes that remind you of your own, beginning to brim with tears. The doctor has just said the word you’ve been dreading: cancer.

And your child looks at you and asks, “Am I going to be okay?”

You don’t have an answer. How can you? What do you say when there are no words?

Maybe your child has asked this question. Maybe you're bracing for the day you will. Regardless, there's no script that makes this moment easy, no perfect combination of words that banishes the fear.

But take heart—there are ways to answer that are honest, steady, and still full of hope, without promising something you can't guarantee.

It's a privilege to introduce Waylon to our Cancer Kickers community! This fearless eight-year-old is celebrating life after bravely battling B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Waylon's journey began in December 2022 after lingering symptoms from the flu and RSV led to bloodwork that revealed his hemoglobin had dropped to a dangerously low level. He was rushed to the hospital for multiple blood transfusions while doctors searched for answers. After his mom continued to trust her instincts and advocate for further testing, a bone marrow biopsy in January 2023 confirmed that Waylon had leukemia.

Over the next two years, Waylon faced treatment with incredible courage, never letting his diagnosis define him. On March 23 2025, he proudly reached the end of treatment, a date that holds special meaning for his family, as it shares the birthdays of two of his late great-grandfathers and also happens to be World Bear Day, a fitting tribute for Waylon, whose middle name is legally Bear.

Today, Waylon is back to being the fun-loving, adventurous kid he has always been. He continues to inspire everyone around him with his joyful spirit. His family says his older siblings were his rock throughout treatment, while his baby sister, born just weeks before his diagnosis, gave him even more reason to keep fighting every day.

Waylon, what once felt like the hardest chapter has become a story of hope that will inspire so many others. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. We are celebrating all you've overcome and can't wait to see what the future holds for you!

Say hi to Ainhoa! This brave little girl is five years old and is currently battling Leukemia.

Ainhoa joins the Cancer Kickers team from Venezuela. She was diagnosed in October 2025 and has been undergoing treatment ever since. While she still has a long road ahead, Ainhoa is determined to overcome cancer and has shown incredible strength and resilience every step of the way.

She shared with us that she dreams of playing soccer one day. Her older brothers both play, and she hopes to follow in their footsteps! Ainhoa also told us that receiving her Cancer Kickers kit has been very motivating. It makes her feel special and reminds her that she is part of a team standing beside her as she fights this illness.

You are a fighter, Ainhoa! We want you to remember that you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and loved more than you will ever know! The CKSC team is rooting for you and is praying for your complete healing.

Every jersey, pair of slides, handwritten card, and piece of CKSC gear is thoughtfully packed with one goal in mind, to remind every teammate that they are loved, supported, and never fighting alone.

Meet Courtney! This beautiful little girl celebrated her 8th birthday earlier this month. Courtney is battled Medulloblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

After experiencing headaches, vomiting, fatigue, and confusion, doctors discovered a large mass on Courtney’s brain on September 17, 2025. She was immediately admitted to the hospital and underwent a 10-hour brain surgery the very next day to remove the mass. Less than two weeks later, Courtney faced a second brain surgery.

Shortly after recovering from her surgeries, Courtney began the first of six cycles of chemotherapy treatments along with proton radiation.

This past January, Courtney’s family received the incredible news that she is in remission and her tumor is undetectable. A spinal tap also came back clear and negative for any signs of cancer.

We are proud to share that Courtney rang the bell this past July! She will continue to undergo regular MRI scans as doctors closely monitor her health and recovery.

Throughout this journey, Courtney has been surrounded by an amazing support system, especially her big brother, Dylan. Courtney’s mom describes Dylan as her “protector, safe space, and biggest supporter.” She shared, “There aren’t enough words to say how proud we are of you. Through every hospital stay, every treatment, and every appointment, you’ve been there. Never complaining, just selflessly loving your little sister with your whole heart.”

Courtney, your courage, strength, and bright spirit inspire everyone around you. You have faced challenges no child should ever have to endure, yet you continue to shine so beautifully through it all. We want you to know just how special you are and how many people are cheering you on every single day. Keep smiling, stay optimistic, and continue being the incredible little girl that you are! Join us is giving a warm welcome to Alfie! This remarkable boy is seven years old. Alfie is battling Brain Cancer.

Alfie is currently undergoing four cycles of chemotherapy treatments. He is a tough little guy and is giving this fight everything he’s got. Alfie’s older brother, Henry, is his biggest fan and number one supporter. Hailing from Ireland, both boys are huge soccer fans.

Keep showing cancer who’s boss, Alfie! You are an amazing little boy, and we never want you to forget that! Remember, for every mountain you must climb throughout this journey, there is a miracle waiting for you on the other side. It’s a joy to have you on the Cancer Kickers team!

Cancer can make families feel like the world has suddenly become very small. Our hope is that a Cancer Kickers kit reminds them that their community is still standing beside them.

You're driving home. Out of nowhere, you picture your child's first day of college: you making up their dorm room bed and wishing them luck with a hug. Or maybe it’s the image of stepping into a hospital room; not for treatment, but to hold your first grandchild in your arms.

Maybe it’s as simple as next year's birthday party with a bounce house and your kid’s favorite cake.

Then the guilt hits, fast and sharp because you’re not considering the future with anticipation. It feels a lot more like a deep, unshakeable grief.

Medical diagnoses, cancer or otherwise, change what your child’s life looks like. The things you hoped for them suddenly feel like they might never happen. Maybe you feel guilty, because it makes you feel ungrateful for the child still in front of you.

You can love your child completely and still grieve the future you'd already started picturing before diagnosis. One doesn't cancel out the other.
