Tonight at LightKeepers, we spent time together creating, talking, remembering, and supporting one another. đź’ś

Each mother decorated a pot and planted a pothos cutting, a simple reminder that even after loss, growth is still possible. Like these plants, healing doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time, care, patience, and community.

Thank you to the mothers who joined us tonight and trusted us with your stories, your memories, and your hearts. Your children’s lives continue to be remembered, honored, and spoken of.

If you are a mother who has lost a child, please know there is a place for you here. You do not have to walk this journey alone.

🕯️ LightKeepers is a support group for mothers who have experienced the loss of a child, no matter their age or the circumstances of their passing.

Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice gave others the chance to live, love, heal, and keep moving forward.

We believe remembrance matters. Today we honor those who never made it home, the families who carry that loss, and the legacy left behind by every fallen hero.

May we never forget the cost of freedom. 🇺🇸

Reminder đź’™

The cutoff to submit your loved one for our next Faces of the Unforgotten remembrance is Friday June 5th at 6p.

If you’ve been thinking about sending someone in, this is your moment.

We want to be clear about something, this is not just for one type of loss.
It DOES NOT have to be someone who passed from overdose or violence.
It can be anyone you want remembered.

A child.
A parent.
A friend.
Someone who meant something to you.

If you’d like us to include your loved one, please message us and We would be honored to remember them with you

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms out there 💜

Today we celebrate the women who love endlessly, give selflessly, support fiercely, and somehow hold everything together even on the hard days.

Thank you for the late nights, the sacrifices nobody sees, the encouragement, the strength, and the unconditional love you pour into your families and communities every day.

Whether you’re a mom, stepmom, bonus mom, grandma, guardian, or mother figure today is for you.

From all of us at The Unforgotten Project,
Happy Mother’s Day 🌷

We appreciate you more than words can say.

đź’š May is Mental Health Awareness Month đź’š

Mental health matters.
Every story matters.
Every life matters.

This month, we stand with those who are struggling, silently or out loud.
The ones fighting battles no one else can see.
The ones carrying grief, trauma, addiction, anxiety, or simply the weight of trying to make it through another day.

We believe no one should feel alone in that fight. Our mission is rooted in showing up.

Healing doesn’t look the same for everyone.
Progress isn’t always visible.
But every step forward, no matter how small is worth recognizing.

đź–¤ Check in on your people
đź–¤ Give yourself grace
đź–¤ Speak up or sit with someone who needs it
🖤 Remember: it’s okay to not be okay

If you’re struggling, you are not alone.
If you’re healing, keep going.
If you’re supporting someone else, thank you.

Because every life is still worth the fight.

💜 Bereaved Mother’s Day 💜

Today, we honor a different kind of strength… the strength of mothers who carry love and loss in the same breath.

To the mothers who wake up every day missing a piece of their heart…
To the ones who continue showing up, even when the weight feels unbearable…
To the ones who love just as deeply, even though their child is no longer here…

We see you.
We honor your children.
We hold space for your grief.

At The Unforgotten Project, this day is deeply personal. One of our founders knows this pain firsthand, losing her child at just 17.

That’s why our LightKeepers group exists, a space created by a grieving mother, for grieving mothers.
A place where you don’t have to explain your pain, hide your tears, or carry it alone.

Your child matters.
Your story matters.
And your love will never be forgotten.

If today feels heavy, you don’t have to walk through it alone.
We are here. Always.

💜 In honor of every child gone too soon… and every mother still loving them.

Please share a photo of you & your child in the comments(or whatever you have), let us honor them & you today.

🍎 Happy National Teacher Day 🍎

Today we recognize the educators who show up every day, not just to teach, but to guide, support, and believe in the potential of every child they meet.

Teachers are often the first to see the struggles that aren’t spoken…
and the first to remind someone that they matter.

In communities like ours, that impact goes far beyond the classroom.
It reaches into homes, into healing, into second chances.

To the teachers who stay patient when it’s hard, who advocate when it’s uncomfortable,
and who care when others look away.

You are making a difference, whether you hear it or not.

At The Unforgotten Project, we believe no one should be left behind and that starts with people like you who refuse to give up on others.

💙 Thank you for being a steady light in someone’s life.
đź’™ Thank you for seeing the unseen.
đź’™ Thank you for choosing this work.

“He was, first and foremost, a genuinely good person. He had a way of showing up for people, especially when they were struggling. If he knew someone was down, he didn’t just check in and walk away… he stayed. He made sure they felt seen and supported, no matter who they were. It didn’t matter if he knew you or not, he had a big heart for everyone, especially his family and friends.

He loved music, cars, and shoes, but more than anything, he loved taking care of people. If someone was going without or having a hard time, he found a way to help. He didn’t like seeing anyone struggle, and he did what he could to make things better. He always made sure his family was provided for, no matter what.

His kids and stepkids were everything to him. They were the best part of his life. He was protective, loyal, and would do anything to keep them safe.

He was truly a special person, and his loss has deeply affected so many people.”
