The red poppy speaks where words fall short — a silent tribute to the sacrifices made for our freedom by the heroes who served and died for our country in all wars. ❤️‍🩹 The poppy is a reminder that their courage will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

After World War I, the American Legion Family brought National Poppy Day® to the United States by asking Congress to designate the Friday before Memorial Day as National Poppy Day.

The Auxiliary promotes the poppy as a symbol of the sacrifices our military have made, a symbol to open people’s hearts and inspire them to donate to help support the future of veterans, servicemembers, and their families. 🇺🇸

Today, on National Poppy Day, wear a red poppy to honor the fallen and support the living. ❤️

Remember Everyone Deployed. R.E.D. Friday was created to remind people of our heroes overseas and show that we are thinking of them. People across the country wear red every Friday to serve as a reminder and spread the message of how important it is that we keep our troops in our thoughts and in our prayers 24/7 🇺🇸️🎗

A few of us got together and attended Andy Vegara's 104th Birthday at Post 104. Andy is a retired Master Sergeant of the United States Army. His Service spans from WW2 through Grenada. Happy Birthday Sir!! Thank you to a true American Hero. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇲

Good morning, auxiliary members,

Congratulations to District 16! We have officially closed the Department books at 105.30%. This is a fantastic achievement; not only did we surpass the 105% goal, but we also broke the 10,000-member ceiling. You are all part of making history for our district.

We added 77 paid members since last Friday and successfully won the challenge between District 16 and District 17.

- Unit 158 Treasure Island: 5.52%
- Unit 7 Clearwater: 1.93%
- Unit 335 Hudson: 1.67%

- Unit 125 Gulfport: 1.36%
- Unit 238 Safety Harbor: 1.12%
- Unit 305 St. Petersburg: 1.11%
- Unit 275 Dunedin: 0.36%
- Unit 252 Seminole: 0.30%

Please remember that while the Department books are closed, we are still actively recruiting and renewing ahead of the National close of books on August 2nd. The State of Florida is currently at 104.64%, just 0.36% away from first place. Let’s keep our "Tiger’s Eye" on the prize—we are a force to be reckoned with!

It is unbelievable how quickly this year has gone by. You all have done an incredible job in Membership this year. However, you still have 32 hours left to move those percentages higher. So utilize every minute.
