Memorial Service Announcement

We invite our beloved family and friends to join us in honoring the lives and memory of our parents:

Armand and Lorelei Nunziato.
Their memorial services will be held on June 17th, 2026, at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
Located at 10000 Bay Pines Boulevard North, St. Petersburg, Florida 33708.

The service will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m., as we gather together to celebrate their lives, their love, and the legacy they leave in each of us.

Following the service at Bay Pines, we would like to invite all family and friends to the American Legion Post 238. Located at 900 Main Street, Safety Harbor, FL.
Where we will be gathering and honoring our parents legacy over food, drinks and lots of memories.

Me again! Some days, the sun shines, birds sing, and I just can't stop smiling! This morning I suggested to our Finance Officer, Mike Long that a list of the charities we've given to this year might be nice to put up on the Bulletin Board. "Got it! It's right here, on the computer!" I can never get ahead of this guy! I leaned in. He points to a column on the right side. "Those are the names." Holy Cow! How many are there? Short answer. "32."
Then he grins a sly grin. "And with the donations slated to be voted next Tuesday, the combined total of charitable donations, SAL, ALA, Riders, and Legion will be right close to $201,000!
I know, I've tossed that number out there as a 'what if,' a wish list item, but now it will happen! Post 238, members all, take a bow! You did this! None of these funds came from Department, grants, government allocations or anywhere else. It came from your wallets and purses in a generous gesture to help those less fortunate. I've heard the term "Sports Bar' derisively spoken about our Post. Never seen one that had Charity in their business plan! Look closer. Sometimes the eyes decieve us. We are 238! The Honey Badger of District 16! Building too small, parking spots contested by everyone in the county, no banquet hall. Full house? We provide park benches and speakers playing music on the sidewalk. We thrive.The next Department Commander, Bob Matheson, is a Past Commander (X5) of our House.We ain't big, but we're sure as hell loud! Keep doing that Voodoo that Hoodoo that you do so well!
