PFLAG Safety Harbor/Greater Pinellas and the Mattie Williams Neighborhood Center invite you to a LGBTQ+ and allied community town hall focused on connection, support, and shared learning.

We’ll provide an LGBTQ+ legislative update and highlight local resources available to individuals, families, and allies in the Safety Harbor and surrounding areas. This event is open to all ages and all identities — a welcoming space to learn, ask questions, and build community together.

Join us as we strengthen our networks, support one another, and ensure everyone in our community knows where to turn for care, connection, and belonging.

April is School Library Month, and today is School Librarian Day.

Sadly, our state leaders stopped recognizing the month a few years ago, but we won’t let it slip by without proper recognition of our school libraries and the people that make them so special.

We are so grateful for the efforts our school librarians make to support every public school student (including our own)!

Join us for our 3rd Annual Community Art Night - an evening of creativity, connection, and joy.

Dinner will be provided beginning at 5:30 PM and served until we run out.

Art supplies will be provided for all ages and all abilities, or feel free to bring a project of your own to work on. We’ll have materials available for painting, drawing, jewelry making, junk journals, collages, scrapbooking and more.

Creating art isn’t just fun, it’s genuinely good for us - it can ease stress, boost mood, and help us feel grounded. Sharing that creative space with others builds connection, belonging, and community care. And for LGBTQ+ folks and allies, choosing joy, expression, and togetherness is a powerful act of resistance. Come make something beautiful with your community.

April is Month of the Military Child, and we are proud to support LGBTQ+ military families and children all year long. 🇺🇸🏳️‍🌈

Military-affiliated parents and caregivers of LGBTQ+ children of any age, as well as parents of LGBTQ+ service members and veterans, are welcome to attend our PFLAG Connects: Military Community! Led by current/former service members and military spouses, these safe, virtual, moderated monthly meetings offer resources and connection for you, your family, and your community.
