Meet our VP of Communications, Charmon Stiles! 👏

Charmon is a growth marketing executive with 20 years of experience across SaaS, technology, and digital-first businesses. Her background spans brand strategy and positioning, creative, go-to-market strategy, customer experience, growth marketing, and marketing transformation.

Throughout her career, Charmon has built and led high-performing global teams and partnered across executive leadership, sales, product, and customer success to connect marketing strategy with business goals and turn complex growth challenges into clear paths forward.

Today, Charmon works as a fractional marketing executive and advisor, helping growth-stage companies strengthen their marketing capabilities and navigate growth, transformation, and scale.

After moving to Sacramento, Charmon was looking for a meaningful way to become more involved in the local marketing and business community. Joining AMASV was already on her mind when the opportunity to serve on the Board emerged.

As VP of Communications, she is excited to help strengthen AMASV’s brand and communications, increase visibility for the chapter, and help more Sacramento marketers discover the community and value it offers.

✨ Fun fact: Creativity runs deep in Charmon’s family. She is a fifth-generation artist who draws what she sees, while her daughter, the sixth generation, creates entirely from her imagination.

Meet our VP of Programming, Brina Patel! 👏

Brina’s marketing journey began in 2021 as a freelance writer, developing articles and personal stories for major publications including Business Insider, Verywell Mind, and POPSUGAR. Today, she brings her passion for storytelling to her work as a copywriter.

Her AMA Sacramento Valley journey started this past May. After attending her first event, she immediately saw the value of this community and joined the board shortly thereafter.

As VP of Programming, Brina’s vision for the FY26/27 year is to create inspiring, engaging events where local marketers can form genuine connections, share their ideas, and walk away with new insights.

✨ Fun fact: Brina spent most of her childhood as a dancer—performing Bollywood and ballet—and still loves to hit the dance floor today. She also spent a transformative post-college gap year volunteering and backpacking across Asia.

Meet our VP of Membership: John Franco 👏

John’s marketing journey began at just 16 as a graphic designer for a local newspaper—sparking a lifelong passion for storytelling, brand building, and connecting with audiences.

From serving as Art Director for the San Francisco Giants during 10 iconic seasons to founding his own marketing firm in Napa Valley, John’s career spans sports, tech, financial services, and media. Highlights include supporting The Wall Street Journal’s flagship All Things Digital conference, leading marketing growth for USTA Northern California, and driving scalable strategies for private equity-backed dental and ed-tech companies.

John’s current focus is helping leaders at service businesses use retention-led marketing to create growth systems and build authority in their industries (learn more at www.retentiondirective.com.)

A Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP), John joined AMASV’s board as Director of Membership Engagement after attending local networking events in 2024. Today, as VP of Membership for FY26/27, he’s focused on understanding member journeys, delivering high-value programming, and growing our community from 80 to over 100 members.

💡 Fun fact: John once saved Baseball Hall of Famer Willie Mays. During Opening Day at Candlestick Park in 1997, Willie missed a step entering the dugout. John reached out, caught his hand, and steadied him. Willie’s response? “Thanks, kid.” John is still counting it as a save. ⚾️

Meet our VP of Sponsorships, Lacie Edgeman! 👏

Lacie brings over 15 years of marketing experience across finance and operations, where she learned early that the best strategy means nothing without disciplined ex*****on. Since 2019, she has brought that same vision to her role as Co-Owner and Managing Director of PrograMetrix, a programmatic advertising agency where she grows the business through partnerships built on trust rather than transactions.

Lacie joined AMASV in early July to build her local network and lean further into the Sacramento Valley community. As VP of Sponsorships, she gets to do what energizes her most: meeting people, having real conversations, and finding ways to add genuine value.

Her vision for the FY26/27 year is growth with purpose—expanding membership, offering engaging programming, and unlocking new opportunities through strategic partnerships with local organizations across the region.

💡 Fun fact: Lacie loves to cook and has been published in a cookbook and several magazines. Outside of work, you’ll usually find her in the garden, spending time with her animals, or supporting other women through dedicated groups.
