Weekend Trail Spotlight: Atlantic Way Trail 🌲🥾

This trail winds through the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge to Seaside Avenue- a stones throw from the beach! The trail passes through a pleasant mix of young pine and white and gray birch. It’s not completely unexpected to come across deer or wild turkeys on this trail!

Trail Work Party Announcement! ✨🥾
Join us back on Middle Goosefare Trail on Saturday, August 15th. From 8am we will meet that the kiosk and work together to finish our trail project for our new walkway and path!

We will bring the tools and planning- you bring your good attitude and friends! It’s a great way to gain experience in trail management but also to learn more about what’s out on the trails in your backyard. 😊🌲

Weekend Trail Spotlight: Horton Woods🌲🥾

✨Join us tomorrow for our naturalist guided walk here at 10am! ✨
This 100-acre wildlife preserve comprises a diverse confluence of ecological habitats including upland softwood and hardwood forest, marsh, stream, vernal pools, bog, and evidence of a pre-historic landslide. Five well-marked trails wind through the property's mixed woodland forest and provide views of Stackpole Creek. A wholesome way to meet up with friends or make a family outing!🤗🐶

Weekend Trail Spotlight: Cascade Falls Trail 🌲🥾
This trail is well known for its captivating 20-foot horsetail waterfall, which has mesmerized visitors for centuries. Cascade Brooke flows year-round over the falls - come catch a glimpse yourself!
This Sunday we will also be hosting a Wild Wander Fern Walk at 10am with two Maine naturalists. A free and fun way to enjoy the trail and become an expert in ferns! 🌿
